Devin Powell shared this photo with Rob on his IG account and gave a little more information on his training of Rob in response to this question “Rob was training for The Drama, right?”

@erikoliveira.eo411 well he was filming the Drama with Zendaya but he was trying to make sure he kept in shape and training martial arts to stay prepared for Batman.”

He has also mentioned that he will be sharing more photos with Rob eventually – like the ones you can see being taken in the video below. As soon as he does this post will be updated.

Devin Powell shared this great little video of himself with Rob – so goofy. As can be seen from his comment, he trained Rob for The Drama. Clint Lightfoot commented on the post that Rob “seemed “he strikes me as a humble dude.” and Devin’s response was “very much so. Very hard worker and a good dude.”

As we’ve known over the years and witnessed ourselves, Rob really is loved by all who work with him.

Once again thanks to Suze for putting together our free calendar for you to download if you so wish. We have so much to look forward to in 2025 – Mickey17 (with multiple Robs – how can we not be happy about that), Die My Love with JLaw, The Drama with Zendaya, The Odyssey with Christopher Nolan – I love how Rob’s directors always want to recollaborate with him – speaks volumes. The Batman II should hopefully be filming at some stage for release in 2027 and any other projects Rob has up his sleeve.

Thankyou for supporting us for the past 15 years. Wishing everyone a fabulous 2025 – here’s to health, happiness and prosperity and another great year reporting on and supporting Rob’s career.

You can access the calendar to download from this post or from the sidebar (which I am in the process of updating).

30 December 2024 – The Independent UK

The Independent UK has ranked the 60 Best Actors of the 21st Century and Rob comes in on their list as no. 35

“Admittedly, it’s trite to begin a tribute to Robert Pattinson with Twilight, but it feels important to remember that early role when regarding a film like The Lighthouse. In the latter, an arthouse flick of the most artsy kind, Pattinson holds his own against heavyweight weirdo Willem Dafoe – showing off just how far he’s come since making tween girls swoon as a 104-year-old vampire. Sexy, this lighthouse keeper is definitely not. In fact, Pattinson appears to be constantly fleeing the mainstream comforts his conventional good looks might offer, running instead into the arms of directors like Claire Denis, Christopher Nolan, David Cronenberg, and the Safdie brothers, with the same intensity he instils in all his characters. More than anything, Pattinson takes risks – take his deliciously camp French accent in The King, his emo-boy take on The Batman, or Christopher Hitchens-inspired sidekick in Tenet.:

30 December 2022 – Variety 500

Rob makes the Variety500 for the first time in its 6 year history. It’s an index put together by Variety’s editorial board of the “500 most influential business leaders shaping the global media industry”. How do Variety’s editorial board choose who makes the list each year? The principles involved are:

“to honor excellence among executives and creatives across the world who have distinguished themselves most. Defining “excellence” and “distinguished” isn’t always an easy matter, but here at Variety, we’ve got it down as close to a science as you can get.

But Variety500 is not a science. Judgments are rendered according to subjective assessments that balance what someone has accomplished over the past 12 months with the achievements made prior to that period. Because Variety500 is an annual list, recent career performance is more heavily weighted than previous work.”

Naomi Ackie – 30 December 2024

Naomi Ackie was interviewed by BritishGQ for her role in Blink Twice (Zoe Kravitz directorial debut) and Mickey17 came up. She was asked about Rob (and Rob was asked via email about Naomi):

“How do I describe Rob?” she wonders. “He’s a fucking good actor. There is something that happens with him on that screen that is, like, insane.”

“She was very easy going yet dedicated,” Pattinson told me, via email. “So fun and fearless as a performer, and incredibly intuitive and effortlessly adaptable.”

Steven Yuen – 17 April 2023

I love how noone can talk Mickey17 – we have less than a year to go until release.

28 December 2024

This movie has had so many changes, I hope this is the last time although I really shouldn’t be complaining since we will be seeing the movie in 3 months time rather than waiting for the Easter holidays. According to Deadline:

Mickey 17 is now on Sinners’ old date of March 7 in Imax, while Sinners’ takes over Mickey 17′s Easter launch pad of April 18 with Imax screens as well.

Sinners’ was shot on film and post-production is taking longer due to the scarcity of labs to do the work on the Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan reteam.

Mickey 17 is Bong Joon Ho’s first movie post his Oscar wins on Parasite back in early 2020; this sci-fi movie starring The Batman‘s Robert Pattinson. The movie’s new date of March 7 gets it more playtime in Imax.
