Great news, we now have official confirmation that The Summer House will be featured on a DVD titled ‘Love & Distrust’ which is made up of a collection of short films. The DVD is now available for pre-order at Amazon.co.uk with a release date of August 16th.  We have of course pre-ordered our copies. So great that we too will finally be able to see & own Rob as Richard. There is no news of an Australian release for The Summer House or this DVD, but as always we will let you know if this changes.
Thanks to Robert Pattinson UK who received this confirmation from the DVD distributor Metrodome Distribution. Also thanks once again to the awesome Campbell Mitchell for the gorgeous Richard & Jane pic above.
You might recall our post back on 9 June when we let you know that The Summer House had been selected for Rushes Soho Short Film Festival. We are just reminding those of you lucky enough to live in the UK that you have the opportunity to see Rob’s 3 or so minutes on the big screen. The film festival runs from 21 through to 31 July (anyone wanna fly me over for my birthday?) and you can find out ticket and screening information here. Enjoy.
For Rob’s fans in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany & Ireland you can now purchase The Summer House on iTunes. The highlighted link is for the UK, but you can just go in and change to your relevant country to purchase. Ah I see run time is 13.55. I’m hoping that iTunes here in Australia will eventually have it online for us to buy too – it bloody better! Thanks again to Campbell Mitchell for this wonderful pic of Rob.
MTV Hollywood Crush spoke to Daisy Gili about Rob and her short film “The Summer House”. I know Oz fans, we are still waiting on confirmation that it will be released here, but so far nothing concrete. I love the fact that Campbell Mitchell, the photographer, recommended Rob to Daisy.
“First-time director Daisy Gili said she actually cast Rob because she was recommended him by Campbell Mitchell, who had worked on props for another of his early projects, “The Haunted Airman”. “He said, this guy is amazing, and he’s really nice, and I think he’d be really up for working on a short film,” Gili told MTV News. “I saw a picture of him and I thought, he’s fantastic.”
Oh yeah Daisy – we all have that same response whenever we see a pic of Rob too! If you want to read full article, click on hyperlink above.Â
Campbell, I love the fact that you recommended Rob, but I’m not surprised and I think also the article mentions Campbell worked on props we can thank him for the brilliant Haunted Airman pics too! Thanks Campbell for some amazing photos of Rob. If you repost these photos, please credit Campbell Mitchell.
On top of the awesome Summer House release news from this morning, we now also have these two gorgeous stills. I cannot wait for the day when we can finally see Rob as Richard in this short film. He is so beautiful.  We’re still trying to find out an Australian release date & will of course let you know as soon as we have any info. Fingers crossed that will be very soon. Thanks to Shorts International &  Rp.Org. All credit for the photos goes to the awesome Campbell Mitchell. I especially love the first one.
Yes! It’s available on iTunes for the US, UK, Ireland, France, Germany & Canada on 13 July 2010. What about Australia? Jealous so so jealous. Am doing some digging and will find out if we get it and will update post. For now – here’s the official trailer. Thanks to our elite affies ROBsessed for the tip. Oh Richard *swoon* …
