According to IMDbPro today, Andrew Osterreicher is listed as “Mr Secretary” in The Childhood of a Leader.
And for those of you who don’t have Twitter. I posted a link to IONCinema’s article Cinema Italiano: 2015 Venice Film Festival Predictions:
“Titles we’d assume to be ready for Venice that could very well hold out for Cannes 2016 might be Sean Penn’s The Last Face and Abdellatif Kechiche’s La Blessure, as well as Brady Corbet’s The Childhood of a Leader. …” [My emphasis]
Funny right – I mentioned Venice in yesterday’s post about TCoaL.
I know we don’t need confirmation that Brimstone is set to commence filming on 15 June 2015, but I just liked that SSNInsider focussed on Rob when including Brimstone in it’s On the Set article for this week.  It’s nice to see Rob’s hard work appreciated:

IMDbPro added Patrick McCullough to the cast of The Childhood of a Leader. No character name as usual. Things seem to be moving steadily ahead for this film. Am hoping we do get to see it at one of the film festival come September/October. I don’t mind which one. Venice has been mentioned previously. It seems this info was available back in February when this article was posted *shrugs*. You can’t catch everything right ha! For those who want to know a little more about Patrick:
“An award-winning filmmaker, Patrick just wrapped on the Houdini mini-series in Budapest, Hungary with Academy Award Winner, Adrien Brody. Â Patrick had a supporting acting role opposite Adrien, and also worked on the production side. Â Houdini will Premiere in May 2014 on the History Channel. Â Patrick also directed and acted in the feature film, Slider, scheduled for release in October 2014. Â Slider, written by former Filmmakers Ink student and now staff member, Brett Marshall, is a High School baseball movie set in CT. Â Patrick began his filmmaking career producing and directing several educational films including the Cine Golden Eagle award winning, Sara’s Diary, a teen suicide prevention film. His screenplay, Broham was a finalist for the Sundance Film Festival Screenwriting Program. He produced and acted in the independent feature film, Beautiful Kid, with Frank McCourt, the Pulitzer Prize-Winning author of Angela’s Ashes. Variety cited Beautiful Kid for it’s, “astonishing integrity.”

Lookey lookey what David Jancso, the editor for The Childhood of a Leader tweeted today. Interesting ….
Â
I know we already were aware of Rob’s films being sold at Cannes, but that doesn’t stop me from being happy they are included in the Screen International Sellers Guide. I can’t handle no real Rob at Cannes, so I’m doing the best I can do #damnit. I also didn’t find any mention of The Lost City of Z, but it’s been at Cannes previously so … if I overlooked I’ll remedy this post.

Roderick Hill has been added to the cast list on IMDbPro as “Older American Gentleman”, so slowly but surely we are getting glimpses of other characters in The Childhood of a Leader.  Anyone following Mona Fastvold’s instagram will glean that they are no doubt in post production in Paris.  And in an article from October 2014, Helen Danielsson (producer) did say:
“Her new assignment Childhood of a leader is more like a European independent film – a psychological thriller and a depiction of how fascism grew strong after the Versailles Treaty at the end of the 1st World War II, according to Helena Danielsson.
We expect the first launch it during the festival in Venice and then in Toronto, she says.” [My emphasis]
