See Robert Pattinson as T E Lawrence in Queen of the Desert in selected US cinemas and VOD from 14 April 2017

I know I’m in the minority but I really liked Queen of the Desert.  I know I’ve mentioned it before but if you don’t treat this film as a pure historical biopic and realise how tongue in cheek it is at some points, then you should enjoy it.  The best review for me (and I’m not being biased) is Jess Ellicott’s from 4:3. I went into the film with this in mind and am pretty sure it’s why I didn’t walk out disappointed.  In any event, IFC Films are preparing for it’s limited cinema and VOD release on 14 April 2017.  Here’s the official US trailer.  Don’t forget to bookmark IFC Film’s Queen of the Desert page which should update you about where you can watch the film in cinemas or on VOD.

Robert Pattinson “Queen of the Desert” Finally Releasing in US on 14 April 2017

I tweeted yesterday, that Queen of the Desert was finally being released in the US on 14 April 2017.   This has been a very long time coming and I hope for those who haven’t had the chance to watch Robert as T E Lawrence, they enjoy his performance as much as I did.  I really was pleasantly surprised with this film – I even watched it twice at the cinema which, for those who know me will be very surprised that I sat through one Nicole Kidman film, but I thought her performance was great.  This film is more tongue in cheek than people want to admit.  Anyway I digress.  IFC Films have updated their website overnight and finally added a dedicated page to Queen of the Desert.

I have assumed that the following VOD platforms will host the film (this is from IFC’s The Childhood of a Leader page), but in any event, I will update closer to the release.  Netflix will also hopefully screen.  You should bookmark IFC’s QotD page in any event.
