We saw that Transmission posted an official trailer on their YouTube on Monday and now we know that the release date in Australia is 2 June 2016.  I will update as soon as I can whether this is an Australia wide or limited release.  But for now, pencil it in your diaries and don’t forget to watch the trailer below. New Zealand I’ll find out if it will be the same for you. Stay tuned.

UPDATED: 18 March 2016

Transmission confirmed to RPAU this morning that the 2 June release date is for Australia only at this stage.  New Zealand’s release date is still to be confirmed.  The Australian release will be “Australia wide”, but screens won’t be confirmed for a few more weeks.  We will keep you posted as soon as the information is to hand on both.

I don’t think this trailer is “new”.  It looks the same to me as the international trailer posted by Atlas Distribution which we have on our “Queen of the Desert” film page.  Although something must be happening, because I noticed the Transmission logo at the beginning of the above trailer and it’s also been posted on Transmission’s YouTube on Monday and their Queen of the Desert page.  Whether it’s new or not it was great to watch again and surely the fact that it’s being promoted must mean that something is about to happen.  We know it’s coming soon, Atlas Distribution told us so.  Buckle up peeps we may just get release dates sooner than we think.

According to Platinum Cinemas Queen of the Desert will be released in Cambodia on 6 May 2016.

 

I was just checking the release date for Queen of the Desert which was supposed to be 17 March 2016 and found that Grand Cinema is now releasing on 7 April 2016.  That’s the same day as Jordan and South Korea.
