Thanks to Lainey, we’ve got more ‘New Moon’ set pics. Although every time I read her blog, I get annoyed. Does she have to say something negative about Rob, every single time? Anyway, I’m still grateful for the photos though. And he’s not awfully skinny, by the way. Skinny, maybe….but in a nice way.

Here’s our first glimpse of Rob as Eddie at work shooting scenes for New Moon today.  I see the hair is looking fab – not sure what everyone was worried about.   There are some smaller photos in addition to the ones below.  If I can find some larger ones I will update the post.

Amanda Bell from Examiner recently spoke to Sam Bradley about his shows in Vancouver, an album release, “Rob” and possible music for New Moon.  Well a lot of us have been waiting anxiously for confirmation that Rob’s been writing some new music and we don’t have to wait any longer.  It’s good to see that whilst they were together in Vancouver they have penned a new song.  Here’s the Rob and New Moon related extract from the interview:

Well, I asked Sam if he and Robert Pattinson were up to anything together in Vancouver (while Rob films The Twilight Saga: New Moon with co-stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, and the rest of the cast), and he said that “yeah, we’ve written a really good song.”

I asked him whether he might be submitting his work for the The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack, and Sam says that while he “could” submit something for consideration, but that he doesn’t “have anything to submit just yet because if [he] was to submit anything it would need to be at a further level than where it’s at right now.”

Fingers crossed we get to hear Rob sing something new soon, but only time will tell.  You can read the full article here.

Reuters posted an article about Rob in New Moon, the papparazi and what’s next for him::

But for now his turn as immortal vampire Edward Cullen, who falls in love with high school girl Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) in “Twilight,” has catapulted him to fame and his fans are dying for details on “New Moon.”

Pattinson, for one, is cautious.

“The book of ‘New Moon,’ the majority of it is incredibly depressing,” Pattinson told Reuters. “Obviously ‘Twilight’ was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but ‘New Moon’ is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn’t completely full.”

“It’s a strange story to have for a market that, I guess, wants to see a love story,” he said.

Nevertheless, the London-born Pattinson said everyone involved is working to make “New Moon” as big a success as “Twilight.”

Pattinson’s rising star has turned the former model into a favorite target of the paparazzi. Only last year, he was a relatively unknown actor whose big film credits were supporting roles in a pair of “Harry Potter” movies.

“It’s turned into this crazy situation. I guess it has become a sort of phenomenon now which I really, really didn’t expect,” Pattinson said.

So, he often escapes to one of his first loves, music. He plays guitar and piano, and his song “Never Think” made it onto the “Twilight” soundtrack.

For now, he said there are no plans to put his music on “New Moon,” but he has become “obsessed” with composing songs.

He said his acting hero is Oscar winner Jack Nicholson, and his ideal job would be something out of the spotlight.

“I like any job where you can just shut yourself away from everybody,” he said.
