Another one to whet your appetite. Javier is amazing on this one….and check out Rob with his weird hair and ‘Dali’ outfit.

Larry Carroll at MTV has written an article about Rob’s Spanish accent in Little Ashes.  Here is a couple of snippets:

“I think it’s a credible Spanish accent,” praised Joel Goldes, a veteran dialect coach who has spent 18 years working with Nicolas Cage, Jim Broadbent, Jennifer Garner and other actors. Goldes said he was impressed by the London-born Pattinson. “I think if I didn’t know his background, I wouldn’t suspect anything.”

“Certainly it sounds like he learned exactly what to do, and he’s doing it well,” the dialect coach said. “These are hard accents to get. It seems to me that he should be able to do just about whatever he wants to do in the future, in terms of accents.”

From the clips we have seen, I have been so very impressed with Rob’s Spanish accent. I think he did such a wonderful job. It is so nice to hear him receive some well deserved praise from the above dialect coaches. I know I have said this so many times before but I have to say it again, I absolutely cannot wait to see Little Ashes. I really hope that we get the opportunity to see it in Australia very soon.

Here’s a ‘Little Ashes’ clip I haven’t seen before, thanks to MTV.com. Here’s what the article says about the clip:

In this clip, the relationship between Dalí and García Lorca is clearly developing, much to Buñuel’s chagrin. “Frederico is working on something now that will blow everything apart,” explains Pattinson, taking drags from a cigarette. “What’s it about?” Luis replies. “His family? Butterflies? God?”

“Me,” Dalí answers, ominously foreshadowing the rift that is to come. Set in 1922 and detailing the awakening of the 18-year-old Dalí at university in Madrid, “Little Ashes” will open in limited release beginning May 8.

Here’s quite a long clip from ‘Little Ashes’, thanks to Rachel from Access Hollywood. They’re really good scenes and there’s plenty of Rob (as well as Javier) on those scenes.

Thanks to our affiliate, the Little Ashes Promo Blitz, this a ‘never-before-seen’ clip from Little Ashes. It’s entirely in Spanish, so once more, if anyone could translate this for us, we’d really appreciate it. In the meantime, I hope you can still watch and enjoy the clip.

Thanks to Brit for pointing this out!
