In keeping with Cilla’s “Little Ashes” posts today, I came across this interesting review last night by Carla Hay of Celebrity Q&A Examiner.   Carla (one of the lucky ones) saw a special advanced screening of Little Ashes and answers some of our “burning” questions on the film (yeah Carla because we all couldn’t tell that Rob’s Dali moustache was fake), Rob’s role in the movie and what he had to say about playing one of the art world’s greatest eccentrics.   “SPOILER ALERT” Okay she provides answers to more than just the moustache question, and although we’ve seen quite a few trailers, if you don’t want to know the exact details of most, if not all, of Rob’s scenes, then I recommend you don’t read the article. However, if you are like me and need to know, you can read the full article here.
For fans in the US, Little Ashes Promotional Blitz, our affiliate, is giving away free tickets to see the movie next week, on the 8th of May. The only thing you need to do is to go on their site, sign up and name the Salvador Dali painting above. They are also giving everyone clues to help figure this out. Click here to enter the competition.
For UK fans, Little Ashes will also be available for On Demand for Film Flex subscribers. Please click here to find out more about this.
Today must be a LITTLE ASHES day! I won’t be surprised if there’s another ‘Little Ashes’ post coming up after this.
Thanks to our partner, Spunk-Ransom, who worked for hours to get this up on Daily Motion – we now have a preview of the ‘Little Ashes’ Soundtrack. The soundtrack preview came from SIN LIMITES, the Official ‘Little Ashes’ movie page. You should go and check this website. It looks amazing! There’s one problem though, it is entirely in Spanish and I have no clue how to get around. I was completely lost.
This will sound really cheesy but when I first listened to it, I almost cried (esp on the ‘Bicycle in Cadaques part’). It’s very beautiful, but the best part about it is how it literally brings you back to the movie. I’m so jealous of everyone in the States, who will get to watch this movie very soon, on the 8th of May. As for us Australians, we might only see this movie on DVD in September – unless we do something drastic to change this.
I’ve just received an email from someone who contacted Kojo Pictures. She was told that there are going to be NO cinema release for ‘Little Ashes’. In fact, the film would go straight to DVD in September.
If you would love to go and see this movie in the cinema, please don’t give up yet. If there is a cinema that is willing to screen it, we can still convince Kojo pictures that this movie is worth their time and day.
I have sent an email to Goz from ROBSESSED about this. If anybody has any positive or negative news, please let her know. She started this whole movement and it’s important to lead everything back to the source.
Click here to contact Kojo Pictures. And don’t forget to contine to lobby your local cinemas and tell them why they should screen this movie.
Thanks to our affiliate, ROBSESSED, here’s another picture post to wake you up in the morning. This time, they’re from Little Ashes. I’ve seen these pictures before, but this time they’re in HQ – and we all know how much we like them BIG and CLEAR. (Click on the pictures to make them big!)
So here they are:

Since we’ve been getting an overwhelming amount of emails and comments on having a ‘Little Ashes’ movement in Australia, I’d like to let everyone know that Gozde from Robsessed is the person who started this movement. She has done a marvelous job and it has been getting amazing responses in the US. The movement has been going on for a while and I think they’re at Day 17 now.

We would really appreciate it, if anyone who is interested in being involved could contact Goz at robsessedpattinson@gmail.com or write a comment at ANY of the Little Ashes Movement posts at the Robsessed site (this is what she prefers). At this stage, she hasn’t got the lists of cinemas in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or any other cities you might want to see the film in.
Oh, and please note that the film already has a distributor, KOJO PICTURES. You might want to mention that when you contact the cinemas.
As well as on Robsessed, our site will also post any updates on cinema locations and if we’re getting positive responses from any of the Australian cinemas.
Thanks so much for your willingness to help! If we try hard, I’m sure that this beautiful movie would see the light of day at our cinemas.
