*happy dance* we FINALLY have a release date Jules!! We posted here back in September that Life was available for pre-order at Amazon UK & have been waiting on a release date since. Am thrilled to say that according to Amazon UK, Life will be released on Blu-ray & DVD February 1 2016 🙂
Pre-order:
Life will be released on DVD in Sweden on 8 February 2016 which is good news for Swedes since it didn’t have a theatrical release.  You can preorder at Discshop here. I’m guessing that although this DVD originates from Sweden it really could be a Scandanavian release since it has Danish, Finnish, Norwegian & Swedish subtitles.  If I’m wrong let me know.
Front and back covers above are thanks to Discshop.
Life has been submitted to the Art Director’s Guild Awards 2015 under the category “Period Film”. Voting, which is industry only, begins 15 December 2015. Â From the ADG website:
“Attention Art Directors
Cast your vote on the nomination ballot for the 20th Annual Art Directors Guild Awards.
Nomination ballot voting OPENS December 15,2015 and ENDS January 4, 2016, 5pm (PST).”
Nominations that are successful will be announced on 5 January 2016 with final voting to be concluded on 28 January 2016. Â Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held on 31 January 2016 at the 20th Annual Awards Banquet, Beverly Hilton Hotel. Â It’s got some stiff competition, but here’s hoping it is recognised for it’s great production design and art direction.
The full rules and background to the awards can be found here
Life is being released this week in Japan on 19 December 2015.  We posted earlier that Gaga movies had expanded cinemas and dates screening Life through until March 2016.  The latest update on the official Japanese Life website now lists 30 cinemas that will screen Life and also which cinemas are providing advance ticket sales and “first day gift”.  I also tweeted earlier that Japan always spoils Rob’s fans – I imagine it’s the tote and possibly some of these cards.  Jealous!  Click on the hyperlink for the website above to be connected to relevant cinemas.
Thanks Verenajj for the screencap!
Love that I still come across random screenings of this film. Â Get your tickets here for a screening at 9.30 pm Wednesday 16 December 2015 at Filmhallen
