Some of you will have noticed that Hold On To Me has dropped off from Rob’s IMDb page (Silvie I did notice I just hadn’t had a chance to post). It looks like perhaps Rob and Carey are no longer attached. The movie is still listed on James Marsh’s IMDbPro though:

WTF is going on Hollywood. I want Rob in leather on a motorbike. F@#%$ Me Dead. Get your shit together …
Stay tuned I’ll see what else I can dig up.

I can’t help but get a little excited for Rob working with directors he’s always dreamed of working with. You can just feel his excitement. This article gives us a little insight into quite a few things. Read and enjoy.
“DE VOLKSKRANT interview with Rob at the Berlinale by Floortje Smith, February 12th 2015: EX TEEN IDOL
Actor Robert Pattinson is used to the Red Carpet, where he, thanks to the Twilight series, was often waylaid by teenage girls. Now he plays a Red Carpet photographer in Anton Corbijn’s LIFE.
One of the first things that director, Anton Corbijn, did after he had cast Robert Pattinson was to put a camera in his hands. In the role of Dennis Stock, photographer of the international photo press bureau Magnum, the camera, he thought, had to become a part of his body. He had another reason: Pattinson had to feel how it is to be behind the camera instead of being in front of it.
The role that Pattinson plays in the new movie of Anton Corbijn, that got a special Gala Screening at Berlin, feels a bit like the world is upside-down. In the movie the world star and teen idol stands in between the photographers at the Red Carpet where in real life the 28 year old actor is waylaid by photographers.

Not that we need any more proof, but I just wanted another reason to post a pic of Rob and Charlie. IMDbPro has been pretty quick in updating with a 2016 release. I guess they’re as excited as moi.
Oh and The Childhood of A Leader is now officially listed as “Filming” as at 3 February 2015. You’ll see that Lost City of Z is the only upcoming film for Rob this year at this stage. Nothing more on Hold On To Me since it’s still listed as “Development Unknown”. Idol’s Eye feels like it was a dream or more like a tease and no reference to a Harmony Korine film. Although some of you might still be holding out hope since Benecio Del Toro and Jamie Foxx are the only cast listed. Anyway I have a gut feeling we will be hearing about something very soon …

We posted here the mention of Hold On To Me filming this year in the fall & now the film has changed from ‘optioned’ back to ‘Pre-production’ on IMDbPro. Excites – keeping everything crossed 😀

According to this little excerpt in Deadline’s Brad Inglesby post, it claims it’s happening this fall:
“Pruss helped Ingelsby get his Low Dweller spec seen around town, and this is his third project with the writer, after Hold On To Me, which James Marsh is directing this fall, and The Signal, which is being developed by Paramount.” [My emphasis]
It’s still listed as “optioned” on IDMbPro. And if you look at James’ projects in development he has another “optioned” and one at “script”. Other than that he’s got a film in post production at the moment.
I guess time will tell.
So I noticed on IMDbPro this morning that Ayesha Fraser has been added to the cast of HOTM as Emma. I’m wondering if things are starting to shape up for this shoot.
The Playlist also reported this the other day:
“Screen Daily also report that James Marsh, the man behind the sublime “Man On Wire,” the excellent “Red Riding” and the ‘yeah, it’s ok I guess’ “Shadow Dancer,” is lining up another project. The filmmaker’s reuniting with the producers of the latter for “The Girl With A Clock For A Heart,” an adaptation of the soon-to-be-published novel by Peter Swanson, about a man who reconnects with an ex-girlfriend who needs his help. Marsh compares the project to “Memento” and “Point Blank” which has our attention. There’s no timeframe on it yet, but it’s likely Marsh will tackle “Hold On To Me“ with Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan first.”
James tackling HOTM first sounds like a good plan to me.
On another note though IMDbPro also has Franco listed under QoTD, but I’m totally just going to ignore that.
