Whoahhh. According to Eddie and Robin (creator and curator), that’s exactly what Ceddie’s Dance Robes and uniforms had to endure by ship to make it to the Sydney Harry Potter Exhibition. Imagine! 40 DAYS and 2 HURRICANES. Such efforts do not go unnoticed at the Powerhouse Museum and when strolling though the exhibit, one can feel the love undertaken to present to us Aussies, the unique experience designed to transport you into that world we have grown to love through out the years.
I was fortunate enough to stand before the attire worn by Rob twice – first with Maria and second time with kiddies (just as much fun, they too went wild for it). Each time, in the presence of Ceddie’s dance robes, I was overpowered by an involuntary move in the form of a curtsy. I think Maria remembers this first hand. lol
Will try to sneak in one more round before the end of season, which falls in March of this year. If you haven’t made the trek yet and are still considering, here is the Ticketek link to secure your session. And just to get you in the mood and as a reminder, I’m reposting the teaser taste vid I slapped together with footage provided to us by the Powerhouse Museum.
To this day, I’m still thrilled to bits that Rob was a part of this classy, magical and very well interpreted story.

I know how much we all love taking a trip down Rob memory lane, my idea of heaven.  I thought I would put together a montage of pics that span from 2005-present.  Rob in all his beautiful glory -  past & present.  I just adore this man more than I can ever express in words – preaching to converted I know…

Maria and I were fortunate enough to get a behind the scenes look and tour of the HP Sydney Exhibition today and can I just say, it does not disappoint. So many levels of awesome, thankyou Maria and thankyou to all involved at the Powerhouse Museum … especially the creator and curator who took us through an exciting magical world, that I am very proud to say out loud, Rob was a part of. We ventured out to be in the presence of the dance Robes as worn by Rob in the Goblet of Fire, only to find a huge surprise awaiting us. Drumroll please …. Ceddie’s Quidditch and School uniforms were also in the house! The giggles were endless and as much as I’d love to go on, it’s late and there’s so much Rob goodness to catch up on and it’s probably best not to unveil too many spoilers in case you are a huge HP fan. So I thought what a better way to celebrate and wet your appetites for taking a visit to the Exhibit, than putting together a sneak peak for you all. Please credit accordingly if re-posting as the majority of this footage was provided to us by the Powerhouse Museum.
If you are in or can get to Sydney, I highly recommend you go and see it … the entire exhibition is such a unique experience, designed to transport you into that world we have grown to love through out the years.

We love you Ceddie!

Wahooooo! Of course we are keeping you updated on all details of importance in relation to the HP Exhibition which kicks off in 3 WEEKS!

Can’t tell you how excited I am that Australia is now the official custodian of the sacred Robes for the next 4 months.  According to the media release Maria and Michelle received, the massive holding containers arrived on our shores this week and I’m just wondering if you all felt the ripple in the force, same as I did around the time of their arrival.  The air is a little sweeter don’t you think?

Meanwhile, has anyone seen this hoodie?  If you can get me access to it (or who’s wearing it works well) or even a replica that will go along with the ceddie wand, please contact me immediately.  I really really NEED one … thanks in advance.

This pic isn’t new – well I’ve seen it before, but it’s Ceddie, how can I not share *grins*

And minus the writing – don’t need that.  They didn’t even include Rob’s name *frowns*
