And we adore each & every one 🙂
And we adore each & every one 🙂
I’m not sure where the past 5 years have gone, but we are happy to say we’ve spent a large majority of it here bringing you all the relevant news and events that have kept Rob busy that’s for sure. Thank you to all our followers who visit the site, tweet us (put up with my rants) and share the Rob love. We know some of you have been with us almost from the beginning and we’ve had some amazing experiences and success over the years like these:
1. 2008/2009 – Bringing “How To Be” to fans for the only cinema screening in Australia in March 2009. This was a monumental effort from RPAU’s original owner Cilla and the reason I became involved with RPAU and met Michelle and Vertigo.  This could not have been possible without Justin Kelly (Producer of HTB). He’s a gem.
2. 2009 – In conjunction with the Ritz Cinema in Randwick holding the first cinema screening of Little Ashes in December 2009. We lobbied Kojo Pictures for 12 months to convince them that it should have a limited cinema release and not go straight to DVD. Happy to say that it did get limited release around Australia in 2009/2010.
3. 2011 – 20thCenturyFoxAustralia asked us to help them promote Rob’s first red carpet appearance in Australia for the Water For Elephant’s premiere in May 2011. How could we say no. Being invited to the red carpet was bitter sweet but still an amazing experience and the first time we saw Rob up close. Water For Elephants hit No. 1 at the Australian Box office – it was a spectacular hit in Oz.
4. 2012 – Dave from The London Film Review asked me if I was interested in writing an article for them about Rob – how could I say no. Then we got the news that Rob was again coming to Sydney for the Breaking Dawn Pt 2 Fan Event in October.  Meeting and talking to Rob was a dream come true and we shared this with some of you.
I guess we have been lucky enough over the past 5 years that the Australian distributors for all of Rob’s films have been more than happy to talk to us and let us help them promote his films. Porchlight Films has been great to us since Rob was announced to star in David Michod’s “The Rover” and we can’t wait to bring you more information about the release of this film.
At the moment we are working closely with Dior in Sydney and are hoping to bring something later today or soon in the lead up to the release of DiorRob in Australia on 18 November 2013 (hoping it’s not just for Aussies too – we’re working on it!)  It supports exactly what RPAU is all about and that’s promoting Rob’s career.  We’ll also have a little giveaway later on today involving Nick Osborne who, as you know, worked closely with Rob on Remember Me.
In the meantime, let’s have a little flashback of what Rob’s been doing to keep us busy …
Ok, am going to hand this one over to Rob …
You know how I LOVE a trip down Rob memory lane & this time I have dug deep into the vintage pics. A collection of precious Rob moments from past to present, he truly grows more & more beautiful with each passing year…
Rob’s Vanity Fair shoots have brought us so many beauties – let’s reminisce shall we with some faves 🙂
