Karan Kapadia Shares Photo with Robert Pattinson on set of #Tenet
Actor, Karan Kapadia, the nephew of Dimple Kapadia who stars with Rob in Tenet, shared his set photo with Rob. He shares his story of asking for the photo and Dimple’s opinion of Rob with ETimes (Times of India):
ETimes got exclusively in touch with Karan where he spoke about his meeting with Robert on the sets of ‘Tenet’. He said, “I wouldn’t say it was a fan moment or anything like that. My aunt was shooting and he was there and I knew he was going to be the next Batman so I thought that if this doesn’t work out then maybe I can sell this picture at some point of time (laughs). I actually had no conversation with him. I just asked if I could have a picture with him and he said yes. We took the picture and that was it. He went on his way. He is a busy guy.â€
Karan revealed that he visited the sets when the team was shooting in Mumbai. On being asked about Robert and how was he on the sets and how is he as a person, the actor said, “Honestly, it was actually such a small set and tried to be out of everybody’s way as much as possible. So, I when I was there, I literally saw him for a few seconds and I don’t know him as a person. All I can tell you is from my aunt’s experience is that he is very professional.â€
Thanks @Monsieur_HJ for the Times of India heads up.
Edgar Wright and Jennifer Euston confirm Robert Pattinson auditioned for the role of Lucas Lee in ‘SCOTT PILGRIM vs THE WORLD’
Vanity Fair recently spoke with Edgar Wright, Director of Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and his casting director, Jennifer Euston to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the film. This is what they had to say about Rob:
Take Robert Pattinson. Just before the release of Twilight launched him to international fame, the actor came in to audition for the aforementioned Lucas Lee—a pompous actor who’s one of the seven evil exes Scott must defeat in order to secure the hand of Ramona (Winstead).
“I remember it vividly,†Wright said of Pattinson’s audition. “He did a much more intense read of it as well. Obviously, Robert is an incredible actor and someone who I’d love to work with now. But it was a very different take from what Chris did.â€
“I remember we were asking him about Twilight, and he was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t know. I just saw it. It’s okay, I guess. I don’t know,’†Euston said of Pattinson.
“He was really good at an American accent,†added Jones.
Thanks Discussing Film for heads up
Robert Pattinson photograph surfaces on Twittter
This photo surfaced on Twitter yesterday. If I had to guess it’s circa 2010 perhaps during Eclipse promo. I have a vague recollection of him wearing that top but I can’t find where I’ve posted before.
Rob thought formal wear was only fitting for this special occasion.
We wanted to take a moment, Maria, to thank you for your dedication and hard work these past 12 years to make RPAU a classy, respectful, go-to source for all the latest news on Rob’s career. Our shared appreciation for Rob and interest in supporting his projects also brought us together as friends, and we’re thankful for that.
No doubt a screening of “Tenet” was a part of your birthday plans. But as we would all agree, seeing Rob’s films is always worth the wait and, in this case, the ensuing release rollercoaster. “That part is a LITTLE dramatic”.
Despite the pandemic making birthday celebrations a bit more difficult, we hope you have a wonderful day and that the coming year is filled with happier, treasured times. Happy Birthday and may all of your wishes and dreams come true! ((Hugs)) and *lifts wine glasses* Cheers! ~Suze & Vertigo
Happy Birthday Suze – I know we’re a little early over here in Oz, but I thought we should kickstart it for you. A big thank you for all that you do for RPAU, not sure what we would do without you, and most importantly thank you for your friendship. We say it all the time – Rob has managed to bring a lot of people together who ordinarily may have never met. May today be filled with love, fun and laughter. And Rob if you’re reading this – one of your self portrait outtakes would cap off this special day (just saying)!
