UPDATED: 4 July 2021 – New Era Indeed – Looks like Rob accepted the invite.

Rob has been included in the 395 artists and executives invited to become a member of the Academy. It was the smallest invite list in years (considering 819 were invited in 2020) since the #OscarsSoWhite uproar. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

“The 2021 class is 46 percent women, 39 percent underrepresented ethnic/racial communities, and 53 percent international from 49 countries outside of the United States.”

If Rob accepts (which I’d be surprised if he didn’t) it means that he will be one of the people voting for the Oscars. Perhaps now they will consider his future roles for nominations. I do love that they refer to Tenet and The Lighthouse – probably too embarrassed to shine a spotlight on Good Time. According to Deadline:

I’m taking this with a grain of salt. The film “Fearless” described as “The rags-to-riches story of Jamie Vardy, a striker who rose from the lower reaches of English non-league football to eventually win the Premier League title with rank outsiders, Leicester City F.C.” is currently at script stage on IMDbPro. According to the Mirror UK:

LA-based Brit Adrian Butchart wrote the scripts for the first two movies in the ‘Goal’ film trilogy.

He has since been planning another football film and has held talks with Vardy after his incredible rise from non league factory worker to Premier League title winner.

Butchart has already confirmed considering Zac Effron and Robert Pattinson to play Vardy but One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, who is from South Yorkshire, is also in the frame.

So much love for Rob today on social media. Rob’s been trending on twitter and apparently there is an algorithm following live tweets for Rob’s birthday. Here’s a few from colleagues etc wishing Rob a happy birthday.

It’s been a strange 12 months since we celebrated Rob’s last birthday. With only a handful of photoshoots (one thanks to GQ and Rob – Piccolini Cuscino anyone?) and limited press for Tenet, we still managed to be on the receiving end of some classic Rob moments. Rob finally finished filming The Batman and Claire Denis confirmed that Rob will be filming The Stars at Noon some time this year. Dior still treats us every now and again because honestly they’d be crazy to let him go. Other than that, I really can’t remember a year that has been this quiet, although 2020 was without a doubt an unprecedented time. Here’s hoping 2021 improves for everyone and that we once again are kept busy with Rob’s usually crazy schedule. One thing is for sure, Rob’s undoubtedly now being recognised as a versatile and go to actor. Watching his star grow over the past 12 or so years has been exhilirating. So looking forward to the next 12 months to see what surprises Rob has waiting for us.

Caitlin Cronenberg Limited Edition Robert Pattinson “Mad Max” Puzzle

With our previous post about the NFT available for purchase from Cosmopolis I asked Caitlin if she still had Mad Max puzzles available and she confirmed that she does. This is a reminder if you weren’t able to purchase one for Christmas you can still do so HERE. It’s a nice way to spoil youself.

For those of you who have ordered your puzzle you are probably as excited as me to receive the notification that they are being shipped. For those that haven’t, although the special preorder price is no longer available, Caitlin has confirmed to me that there are still puzzles available to purchase. Remember there are only 100 made, each one is numbered so they really are a collector’s item and once they are gone they will be gone.
