I love this little moment between Edward & Jacob & laughed out loud in the cinema when Edward responded “no” to Jacob’s question of should he start calling him Dad. The look on Edward’s face is priceless. Rob & Taylor together I always love & this scene is just GOLD. Love you Edward! Enjoy 🙂

So I thought I would try my hand at putting together a vid of some epic Rob moments where he talks Bel Ami. He always provides us with pure gold, that brilliant Rob humour that we all adore. I swear I love the man more & more with each word he speaks. Enjoy everyone, I know how much I loved making this 🙂

For some reason when the video is embedded, it doesn’t play in it’s true HD form grrr, but if you wish you can watch the clearer video here on Vimeo.

This post concludes our Golden Years week with Georges & what an awesome week it has been.  We hope you enjoyed celebrating Rob’s brilliant portrayal of Georges as much as we did.  We start fresh with a brand new Rob character tomorrow – hmmm who could it be.

Thanks to Vertigo for the awesome intro/outro song. It’s absolutely perfect.

I apologise in advance for the ramble!

So, my turn! 🙂 I do adore my Bel Ami Georges and he is the shining light throughout this film taking us on the rollercoaster ride that is his rise in society.  For my favourite scene (difficult choice as it was) I’ve chosen Georges and Clotilde’s first ‘get together’ in his apartment.  Rob’s performance is wonderful because truly he is not supposed to be a likeable character but who can fail to be rooting for him in this scene? From the sheer optimism that his new purchases (some paper fans and lanterns) are going to be enough to make his apartment fit to entertain his new lady friend, to the pure joy you see as he wanders through his new ‘love nest’ not quite believing his good fortune make this scene my winner.  I love the humour of the scene too – George carefully trying to disguise his rundown apartment, Clo’s “do you think it will take both of us” as she sits nervously, the anxious/awkward glances and fidgets and who can forget Georges’ earnest plea of “I’d like to do this now….” tee hee  🙂 The real essence of this scene is the passion and connection between these two characters – just brilliantly played and OH Georges; the lip bite, the lust fuelled looks and those roaming hands gets me EVERY. DAMN. TIME.  Georges Duroy ladies and gentlemen!!!!  And let’s not forget all Georges’ wishes came true when Clo offered to pay for a love nest for them….no wonder he looked like he just won the lottery at the end of this scene….the wolfish grin and new confident Georges are on their way; look out world. 😀

(HUGE thanks to Maria for putting the vid together – love it!!) 🙂

Sweet baby Jesus angry Georges just renders me speechless.   I guess it’s because in reality we never see Rob lose this kind of control and yet, let’s face it, we know there are instances where he can.   So whenever I see him let go like this I get a little excited.  Sad but true.
