Ok so I put this little treat together – it’s kind of like Fast Forward Toby because you know us “glamoured” people  are really only interested in listening to Rob.

I know how much you all enjoyed (as did I) the first two brilliant installments of our Golden Years Series & now the time has come for me to share with you all one of my fave scenes from The Haunted Airman. I cannot say enough wonderful words about Rob’s performance as Toby in this film.  He is just absolutely brilliant. This clip below I really love & for many reasons. One of these being, it is the moment that we are formally introduced to Flight Lieutenant Toby Jugg & from this point on, I am completely totally & utterly immersed in this character.  No matter how many times I watch, this fact is always the same & that is all thanks to Rob & his amazing talent. Watching him in this film further confirmed to me just how special he is & I just knew we would see more greatness from him in the future. We are really excited about celebrating Rob’s brilliant career thus far via this series & we know you all are too.  This is only the beginning of the wonderful content we have in store for you! Once again, special thanks has to go to our very own Maria for putting together this brilliant video. Enjoy everyone!

As part of our “Golden Years” series and further celebration of Rob as Toby, we bring you a special treat. As mentioned yesterday, Rob doing smokey goodness through-out “The Haunted Airman” was a huge bonus. Being a reformed smoker (TRYING), it’s not easy for me to watch people draw on ciggies … unless of course they sizzle like Rob while doing it.  Where’s that big industrial fan again? Need now!
Hang onto your chairs or better still, take a load off, kick back and enjoy the smokin brilliance that Maria so beautifully compiled for us today. THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart.

*hangs* Warning sign here.

At RPAustralia where we love nothing more than to celebrate Rob and his career on a daily basis, we will be bringing you a series of goodness as we take a closer look at and appreciate Rob’s on screen performances.   The “Golden Years” will be celebrating highlights of Rob’s amazing work from 2004 when he first graced the screen as a professional, to his most recent projects of 2010.

Today I will be kicking off with a scene from “The Haunted Airman”.  Rob’s performance as Toby was outstanding and so convincing, that upon first watching, I was instantly drawn into waves of emotion and all senses were subjected to the dark place which was this character’s reality. A performance so powerful, the focus on plot became secondary (for me) to Rob’s masterful brilliance.  In addition to this, the consistent smoking through-out proved to be a real bonus.  Here are some screen caps and a short video which capture moments from one of my favourite scenes and I hope you enjoy the magic of video presentation (as much as Michelle and I did), which can only be credited to our very own talent, the one and only Maria.

p.s. click for BIG action when viewing screen caps. Trust!
