It’s not quite midnight here on the East Coast but thanks to the uber talented Jules, the New Year is arriving in grand style with her awesome banner! Nobody does it better!
In celebration of our favorite Rob moments, here are my choices. . .
Favorite Movie Scene: Cosmopolis
This was incredibly tough to choose. Not only deciding which scenes, but which film. I loved ‘Bel Ami’…Rob was brilliant as Georges. I traveled to Chicago to see it on the big screen and it was so worth it! Ultimately, though, I chose ‘Cosmopolis’ as my favorite because Rob’s extraordinary performance as Eric Packer impressed countless critics, silenced a lot of naysayers, and brought him long overdue respect and acknowledgement of his talent as an actor. This clip combines two favorite scenes from the ending of the film.
Thanks again to Michelle for her technical assistance.
Favorite Photoshoot: Blackbook Magazine
For me, there was a bit of a bad boy vibe to the shoot that I loved. I had a couple of particular favorites from this shoot, one of which Maria posted. So I’ll share two more, seeing as I find Rob quite lethal in a black leather jacket.
Favorite TV Appearance: Jimmy Fallon
No question here. I LOVE Jimmy and he and Rob make a great comedy team. The interview was priceless. And ‘Water Wars’ was the best laugh I had in a long time.

Favorite Premiere: I too loved seeing Rob at the Cosmopolis Cannes premiere. It was wonderful to see him take the spotlight at such a prestigious and distinguished event. But. . . I decided to deviate a bit and substitute favorite premiere with press conference. When I saw the videos and photos from the Cosmopolis Toronto press conference, my reaction was “Good Lord!” and then *THUD*. The beaming smile, the laughter, the obvious pride he felt sitting next to David Cronenberg and Paul Giamatti. And the icing on the cake: he looked smokin’ hot in that outfit. The toothpick didn’t hurt either. 😉
Here’s to an abundance of favorite Rob moments in 2013!
Thought I’d get us in the mood for Christmas … we’ve got a few things planned for closer to the time, but here’s my vid that I made last year as a thank you to all our followers. Hmmm what to do this year … what to do.
Ok so we all know that Rob’s currently on a flight to Sydney (ETA probably 6.00 am tomorrow, Sunday morning) and we also all know that it’s Michelle’s birthday on Monday. Since Michelle will be in Sydney, no doubt Tina and I will be treating her to a birthday breakfast (you know we need sustenance in order to stalk Rob – no I’m just kidding, about the stalking not the sustenance), I thought I’d start celebrating her birthday early. Someone (maybe Lisa) convinced me I needed to do a vid of Rob doing Gangnam style long before I realised he was going to be here. So I started this 2 weeks ago in preparation for Michelle’s birthday. Needless to say this has taken me a LOT of manhours to piece together and might explain why I’ve been posting blast from the past vids in the last week or so. I’ve watched a LOT of Rob.
Michelle I’ll tell you Happy Birthday in person of course and can’t wait to see you tomorrow. In the meantime, let’s start of the amazing celebrations I hope we have seeing as Rob decided to come and join us #wishfulthinking.
PS. Vimeo version is coming and I’ll update in case you can’t see YouTube.
I not only forgot that I had made this video, but I forgot we had a DailyMotion account! Anyway I came across this on the weekend and thought I’d post it some time this week. I guess it’s a good way to start Friday … oh and I should warn “this video includes mild and coarse language” *snickers*
In light of the recent announcement that Rob will be returning to our shores (squeeeeee) and kicking off the BD part 2 Promo tour … I’d like to share part one of the “Silence is not always golden” video series I made last year in celebration of Rob’s golden moments. Kind of like a taster of things to come.
Happy Birthday Lise-Lou!!!! I tell you I had an idea for another video to do for you but I saw Eric again yesterday morning and listened to this song on the way home from cinema and well – your birthday vid was born. Hope you have an absolutely amazing day and that you feel a little better to be able to enjoy it. We’ve missed you around here, but we know you are here in spirit.  Again, I thank Rob for being the reason I’ve met some of the most incredible people I happily call my friends. Thanks Rob! Lisa – hope you enjoy this …

PS. Thanks Vertigo for loaning me some of your “Boys are Back In Town” vid and also Lisa – I don’t know if you are familiar with the band, Sick Puppies but they are originally from Sydney and I love them.
PPS. I hope there are no walk outs during my vid *giggles*
