For those who appreciate Rob’s vocal stylings … It was a long wait for the official clip and dear lord was it worth it. Kick back and enjoy …
… makes the soul sing doesn’t it.

Rob was super busy in 2010 and I really loved choosing which goodness to post for this RPAU series. 😀

Well what to say – Rob I hope you have an awesome day celebrating your birthday.  I know there are a lot of us who are happy with the fact that you exist.  You entertain us and that’s all we can ask.  Trish sent us in a wonderful birthday card she created and I love it – unbeknownst to Trish, it fits in perfectly with my birthday vid.  Trish thanks for sharing your love of Rob with us.  And Rob – Happy 27th Birthday – here’s to many more spectacular years for you (which means more for us) *raisesglass*

So it’s been 2 years today since we were blessed with Rob’s first taste of Sydney for the WFE Sydney premiere.  It feels just like yesterday and I’ll never forget my first glimpse of Rob – as his leg stepped out of that hire car to walk the red carpet.  What a fantastic memory.  So to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Rob’s first visit to Sydney I decided to share this short little extract from the official red carpet footage that was given to me.  It’s short, but  you can see how tired Rob was since this was the last stop of his whirlwind promo tour for WFE.  Cannot believe he was only in Sydney for less than 48 hours – what a whirlwind.  He’s such a sweetheart.  Happy 2nd “Sydney WFE Rob” Anniversary for those of us lucky enough to experience it.

I’m not sure what I can say here that hasn’t already been said. :)  Rob’s performance in Cosmopolis is quite simply outstanding.  Each time I watch the film I am rewarded by something new that I didn’t notice or appreciate before.  I’ve selected some of the final scene with Benno here and both actors are truly on top form and just a real joy to watch. :)  It can’t just be me who feels heartbroken as I watch the final unravelling of this complex character, Rob’s performance truly makes me sympathise with a normally unsympathetic character which in itself is exceptional.  The way he looks at Benno when he tells him his prostrate is asymmetrical and asks what does it mean is incredibly moving.   I truly love the visuals from this particular part of Benno’s rant: “I have my syndromes you have your complex; Icarus falling.  You did it to yourself.  Meltdown in the sun.  You will plunge 3 and a half feet to your death; that’s not very heroic is it?”  I can’t get enough of that particular part and as he paces behind Eric it’s impossible to take your eyes from Rob’s face as he prepares himself for his inevitable conclusion.  Just out of this world AWESOME.  His tears deserve a special mention and that second at the end when he opens his eyes – just wow.  I remember gasping out loud when the credits started;  I was just in awe.  I can’t ever get enough of Rob’s Eric Packer.

No prizes for guessing what my song choice might have been for this tribute to Georges.  I thought I’d put together solo Georges … so much goodness in this film I could have done an extended dance mix.   Hope you enjoy

Well I made this vid back in February last year in anticipation of seeing Bel Ami.  I thought it’s only fitting that I do a flashback and it really does fit in with a Late Night Post 😀
