Oh yes people, you better mark 5 May 2010 in your diaries because this is the date that Little Ashes will become available on DVD in Oz. That’s right – the lovely Tamara from Kojo Pictures confirmed it with us this afternoon. I’ll provide more details of where it can be purchased from soon, but thought I’d share this great news with you all now. Oh how I love this scene below.
Great news, we now have some further details on the release of the New Moon DVD in Australia. Sanity have updated their New Moon listing with the release date of 14 April 2009 & like Twilight, there is a one disc edition & also a two disc special edition available. These are the special features listed for the two disc edition:
Audio Commentary With Director Chris Weitz And Editor Peter Lambert
6 Part Behind The Scenes Documentary
Exclusive Band Rehearsal Footage With Muse
Music Videos From Death Cab For Cutie, Anya Marina, And Mutemath.
Seems as though our DVD extras are the same to those of the US DVD. Doesn’t seem to be very much Rob *sad sad face* Was hoping so much all the Rob extras would be featured on our version, not fair. To check it all out & pre-order all you need to do is click on the highlighted links above. If there are any updates or changes we will of course let you all know. For our UK & US visitors, all the details for pre-order are in our previous post right here.
Yesterday @Twilight, the official Summit Entertainment twitter tweeted that the release date for New Moon in the US is going to be March 20 2010. Amazon.com lists the special features for the Two Disc Special Edition as follows:
Audio commentary with Director Chris Weitz and Editor Peter Lamber (No Rob *sad sad face* Was so looking forward to Rob’s comments. So disappointing)
A riveting six-part documentary that takes you behind the scenes
Exclusive band rehearsal footage with Muse
Music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, and Mute Math
US fans can now pre-order right here.

The cover for the New Moon DVD has been revealed – woo hoo. Good to see Rob is at the front where he belongs. As you can see from the pic, like Twilight there is a two disc special edition hopefully packed with lots of Rob extras & of course Rob on the commentary *fingers & toes crossed* I know Chris Weitz said that Rob will indeed be featured on the commentary & I do believe you Chris, but I won’t be happy until I see it written in b&w lol. This cover is the US version but pretty safe to say ours will be the same here in Australia. The release date is yet to be officially confirmed but of course we will let you know as soon as it is. Thanks to Amanda Bell for the tip.

The other day we were contacted by Daniel Pemberton who composed the soundtrack for The Haunted Airman and now we have been told that the DVD will finally be available in Australia. It’s being released on 25 November 2009 and can be preordered at a few places, but the cheapest I have found so far is at JBHiFi.  Click on the link if you want to pre-order. No doubt it will also be available in store post 25 November 2009. Thanks to @ for the tip. If you haven’t seen Rob’s performance as Toby Jugg in this BBC drama, you really need to get yourself a copy.
In all our excitment yesterday I forgot to say that the How To Be DVD was released yesterday in Australia. If you haven’t seen this film yet you really need to get yourself a copy by clicking here. Hmm I might even get myself another one as back up. We’d love to thank Alex and Rebecca from Madman Entertainment for giving us some extra good Art and Rob goodness – like the ones below.Â
