I know dates are subject to change, but I also know at least one follower *lookingatyou@deesoonz* who will be pleased that Robert Pattinson “The Lost City of Z” is included (as at 4 April 2016) on the current release schedule for next year.  I also note it’s showing the Australian release as 2017. That’s possible since Studio Canal in Sydney did tell me it will either be released late 2016 or early 2017 when we last spoke.  For now I’m just thrilled to see it on the schedule.

According to CinesArgentina, Robert Pattinson “The Lost City of Z” will be distributed in Argentina by EnergÃa Entusiasta and will premiere, at this stage, in Buenos Aires on 9 February 2017. Will update when details added to their website or Facebook or more information provided.  Stay tuned.

And it’s obviously been moved to current films. Â Can I get a global *fistpump*. Â Cannes is just around the corner … right.

According to the current Studio Canal Australian release schedule (as at November 2015), The Lost City of Z is listed for a “wide” release some time in 2016. Of course there is a possibility that this will change, since RPAU was told earlier this year it may be released in early 2017 or possibly at the end of 2016. Also it lists Bastille Day as 3 March and that’s not being released in Aussie cinemas until 12 May 2016. The real reason I’m posting this isn’t so much because of the 2016 date, but more so because of the reference to “wide” release. I realise that LCoZ is a different beast in comparison to some of Robert’s recent indie films, but it is still good to have it in print and  I know that will make a lot of Aussies happy who have missed out due to the “limited” release of recent films. I can say that it is definitely making ME very happy.
