This is the same footage we saw on the Associated Press interview Michelle posted earlier today, the only difference is that it has been spliced into one interview. Â Click on Robert to watch at ETCanada’s site – “Robert Pattinson talks about how much of a change his role as an explorer will be, and how excited he is for people to see “Lost City of Z” at the New York Film Festival.”
Love this, what an exciting time for Rob & all involved in the film. So excited to see the film when our turn here in Australia comes.
Thanks Posh.
I thought I would start a new post as although there’s 51 photos here – there’s more coming. Â Patience is a virtue.
Robert how I’ve missed your promo verbal diarrhoea. Â IÂ decided to put together this post after reading this classic from Robert during the promo for The Lost City of Z World premiere:
Robert on his beard
“Oh god, it took forever to grow. I was so happy to get rid of it. It was disgusting, the whole thing was disgusting,” he told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday night. “And I had lost so much weight by the end of the shoot — nearly 35 pounds, we weren’t eating the entire time — that when I shaved it off, it was like I had no bottom half of my face. I was like a small, strange squirrel.” via The Hollywood Reporter
Robert on Filming
“People literally seemed like they were going to die,â€Robert Pattinson said from the safe grounds of Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan on Saturday night. While several in the cast of Pattinson’s film, “The Lost City of Z,†spoke of extreme diets and strict workout regimes to prep for filming, the British actor noted a more vague intensity. “It was one of the craziest movies I’ve ever worked on,†he added. “The shoot was insane.â€
“James sent me the book maybe six, seven years ago,†Pattinson said of the David Grann book. “And it was with an entirely different cast, and a different script. I think it’s gone through three different iterations of casts since I’ve been attached. I’m the only one who was originally involved. He shoots like people don’t really shoot anymore. This film is so beautiful. And I think films nowadays just aren’t as pretty as James’ movies are.â€Â via WWD
Robert on Spiders
“There was this weird thing that happened in the hotel,†Pattinson told Vulture. “It flooded everyday at 3 p.m., because we went in the rainy season. No one realized it was the rainy season, and somehow all these massive spiders would float into our room. At night there would be like an inch of water in the room, it was kind of terrifying. I made a little hammock on top of my bed just hanging there, in terror.  … There was one that was called a Brazilian wandering spider,†Pattinson said. “James, who is normally very neurotic about anything wildlife related, saw this spider, and it is incredibly beautiful, and he was like, ‘We need to get the B camera, get on this, get on this. Somebody get it to move.’ And he was prodding this spider, which is like six-inches wide, with a stick, trying to get it to do something interesting. And the Colombian crew was like, ‘That is the most potent spider in the world.’ There were a lot of situations like that.†via Vulture
Here’s some random photos from Instagram and Twitter of Robert Pattinson attending the New York Film Festival world premiere of The Lost City of Z. Â I will update as I find more.
