STICKY POST: SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATES

It feels like yesterday that I was asked to be involved with Robert Pattinson Australia and I’m not sure where the past 6 years have gone, but I’m forever grateful that I was asked to be a part of it initially and eventually taking over the site with Michelle.  We have definitely experienced some incredible memories promoting Rob culminating with the epicness of the Australian premiere of The Rover.   And in keeping with our ethos of posting only about Rob’s career, what better way to celebrate than to give one of you, our followers, a little bit of history from one of Rob’s movies and favourite film festival – CANNES.

Yes you read right.  Porchlight Films has given us an incredible incredible memory from Cannes for The Rover.   This is one of about 3 French posters produced for Cannes to be displayed during the film festival.  Hope you have a huge wall to display it because its size is 160cm x 117cm (that’s about 62 x 46 in)

Here is a pic of the actual poster.

Now who would pass up an opportunity to see these 3 gorgeous men?  Noone that’s who, so without further adieu, the winner of our 2 tix to the Australian premiere of The Rover at the Sydney Film Festival is:

Bee Kaye

Originally we only had 2 tickets to give away, but thanks to our lovely follower and friend Kim Wilson, there was a second chance draw.  Kim kindly donated 2 tickets for RPAU to give away as part of this competition.  So our second winner is:

Sarah Frost

Congratulations.  I’ll be emailing your tickets to you both shortly.

STICKY POST: SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATES

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Rob’s birthday than to give two people the opportunity to not just see him up on the big screen, but in person.   We are giving away the chance for you and a friend to attend the premiere at the Sydney Film Festival at 7pm on Saturday 7 June 2014  (stalls – row U seats 18 and 19 click here for map ) .  The SFF confirmed to me yesterday that they are still working out final details, but Rob is very much attending alongside Guy Pearce and David Michôd (aka known as the Trio of Hotness).  The winner can take whomever they want but you can also introduce someone new that perhaps hasn’t joined the Rob bandwagon, tell them it’s not to late to step on, you know it’s better late than never.  It’s a great time to discover the world of Rob.

Obviously this prize caters to Aussies, but if you are from overseas and feel the urge to have a short holiday or will be in Sydney during that time, then feel free to enter.  The winner will be chosen randomly, so just comment on this post and let us know you want the tix.

Competition closes 5pm AEST, Monday 19 May 2014 in celebration of The Rover Day at Cannes.  Winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Good luck.

*Note:  The prize is the premiere tickets only.  Airfare and accommodation are at your own expense and not the responsibility of RPAU.

First off, we would like to thank everyone who entered this giveaway.  Your entries were wonderful to read and it’s great to see how Rob has touched all your lives, you certainly did not make it easy for us to choose.  The 3 lucky winners, in no order of preference, are:

Trish:

At a time when the thrill of love was a faded memory, when nothing seemed bright or beautiful anymore, Rob set my heart alight as Edward Cullen.  Because of Rob, I rediscovered myself and my passion for life and love.  He made me feel young again.  What a glorious gift!

Jodie:

I fell in love with Rob when he became my happy place.  Rob helped me through a very difficult time and he doesn’t even know it – but it doesn’t matter.  Because that’s just Rob and everything he does, being himself.  As I found out, he changes people’s lives, forever.

Nadine:

I fell hard for him when I saw Little Ashes in 2011.  I know, I am a late bloomer, but once I saw that I was and still am completely captivated by him and his work.  How could you not love him, he is just so original, so real and the added bonus is that he is just so beautiful.

Congratulations ladies.  We will email you for your contact details.

Again, thank you Dior for giving RPAU the opportunity to hold this giveaway and for providing the A5 pics for fans through Myer City stores.  It’s been an absolute pleasure promoting #DiorRob and we look forward to the next few years.

If you haven’t purchased your Dior Homme yet – what are you waiting for!
