IndieWire is reporting the following concerning Rob presenting Brady with his NYFCC Award:
Pattinson, who presented the New York Film Critics Circle’s Best Feature award to Corbet for “The Brutalist,” applauded the director for his indie, saying the film is a “true work of art” and an “astounding technical feat.” Pattinson previously had a small but important role in Corbet’s 2015 directorial debut “The Childhood of a Leader,” which debuted at the Venice Film Festival and won awards for Best Debut Feature and Best Director. Corbet co-wrote the screenplay with his partner Mona Fastvold; the duo also co-wrote “The Brutalist” together.
“Ten years ago, I was lucky enough to work with Brady on his first full-length feature, ‘The Childhood of a Leader.’ And I’m honored to be with you tonight to present the New York Film Critics Circle Best Film Award to Brady and his team for this latest film, ‘The Brutalist,’” Pattinson said during the 2025 NYFCC ceremony.
Pattinson continued, “The film is a true achievement. Everyone’s performance is spectacular, including Adrien [Brody]. The partnership between him and the incredible Guy Pearce, the tumultuous relationship as the film unfolds, playing with the audience’s emotions, creates a true work of art.”
Pattinson further applauded Corbet’s small budget on the indie period piece.
“Shooting in this division in just over 33 days and for under $10 million, Brady and his team created an astounding technical feat,” Pattinson said. “Everything about this film is an event, it’s meant to be seen with an audience, and I encourage everyone to go and see it on the big screen. […] I’m in awe of you and of all your producers and collaborators, thank you for creating this monumental work of art.”
Here’s Brady accepting the award and we see a glimpse of Rob:

Josh Horowitz interviewed Matt Reeves on the Golden Globes red carpet and managed to ask about The Batman II (starts at about 3.42). Josh asked if he was happy with how the script was progressing to which Matt said yes and again confirmed that they will be shooting this year and that the script has taken longer than he wanted, but that he’s “super excited about what they are doing”. Josh also tried to find out about who the main villian was going to be but of course Matt was very tight lipped but said that it would be surprising to the fans. He also said:
“The story is a continuation in a certain way and completely different in another, and is going to show a different side of Rob and I think it’s going to be really exciting and really cool.”
Finally, Josh tells Matt he’s spoken to James Gunn and whether Rob will be integrated into the DCU and it’s been talked about, but Matt’s attitude is whether it makes sense or not and he’s not sure what the future will bring and he doesn’t know we’ll have to see where that goes, but again Matt reiterated that his main focus is shooting The Batman II.
Watch the video to see whether Matt reads the rumours on line and whether there will be other spinoffs. Howevever, his main priority is to focus on The Batman II – Click to watch.

Matt Reeves confirms that The Batman II will definitely be shooting this year in the wake of the film being pushed back to October 2027. According to Deadline:
Matt Reeves couldn’t say much about The Batman II, other than “I can tell you that we’ll be shooting this year.”… “We’re doing something where the story continues from, but I hope that people will be surprised by,” said Reeves.
Deadline had heard “through sources previously that the sequel to the $772M-plus grossing 2022 movie was lensing this summer. Given the VFX heavy movie, 2027 is a doable deadline.”
Production Weekly is reporting that The Odyssey will be filming from January to April 2025 in UK, Morocco and Italy. It also has a mention that Robert Downey Jr is involved, although confirmation as to RDJ joining the cast is yet to be confirmed.
Dior posted this great little video of Rob revealing what goes on behind the scenes of the new Dior Homme campaign whilst being driven around in a New York taxi (again how does one apply for a job like this).
