There was a sneaky photo floating around on social media where Rob was spotted in the background having a meeting with Todd Field. It definitely happened but who knows if anything will emerge. Rob’s having meetings left, right and centre with some great directors. I can’t wait to hear what’s coming up soon. Rob’s the quiet achiever.

Rob has been keeping under the radar when it comes to new project news since finishing up Mickey17. We know he starts production on Batman 2 in November this year, but I can’t imagine Rob doing nothing for 10 or so months. Then this little tidbit was revealed at Deadline today by Baz Bamigboye:
Bumped into Edward Berger, director of Netflix’s Oscar-nominated All Quiet on the Western Front, who was deep in conversation with Robert Pattinson, The Batman star, on the back terrace of Ospero on Sunset.
Actually, I was trying to be unseen, but both Berger and Pattinson greeted me before I could disappear.
…
As I’m about to scoot away, I ask if their meeting is likely to result in anything further down the road. I say that knowing of Pattinson’s cool habit of linking up with filmmakers he admires.
“We’re just having coffee. It’s coffee, Baz,” the actor says
Meanwhile Edward has a few projects in development – a thriller called The Englishman that has Paul Dano rumoured and is at script stage (and we know what a huge fan of Rob’s Paul is – not going to lie, would love to see them in another film together) and then there’s a mystery thriller called Rio that has Benedict Cumberbatch and Jake Gyllenhaal attached although it was in pre-production in May 2017, but has “development unknown” since February 2022.
It might've been "just coffee" …… I'm hoping it was a 'productive' coffee LOL
