Robert Pattinson #TheRover Sydney Premiere (June 2014)

One of my favourite moments in life – The Rover premiere at the Sydney Film Festival in 2014. There were so many fans lining up along Market Street for photos with Rob. Here’s one of them recently shared.

Hi Maria, bringing this back because I was watching it this morning and it is a great interview…art for art’s sake. I believe he would have done it even if he didn’t make all that money with Twilight.

Ha! Video got switched, not that I would mind watching Mari’s video again. Let me try again. This was the video I was trying to link…

It’s still the SCAD interview with Rob on this link – for me anyway 🙂

I agree PM – arthouse is what he loves and Twilight just opened the doors for him to be able to approach who he wanted to work with. It was a double edged sword though as some probably didn’t take him as seriously. Bet those ones are regretting it now.

Sorry Maria, about spamming with duplicates. When I first refreshed the page after submitting it showed up with your video and then the first comment showed up with the correct video after second refresh. IDK what happened.

About people not taking him seriously, he answers that in this video @1:30. He knows what to say and what not say, so mature and accommodating. Everything is classy and subtle with this guy.

Oh, I want to see that Twilight press interview! I am sure it is tucked away somewhere on this blog, right, Maria? Like Nolan said, “He is slightly fucking with you.”

PM – I have a feeling it’s referring to this print interview http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/robert-pattinson–has-a-small-manhood-/542665/#

LOL, Maria, your comment is timestamped May 11, a message from the future (it is still May 10 here). We live in a Tenet world! 😉

Great sleuthing! Looks like that is it. Quotes in the Indian Express article are from an interview in the new! Magazine (yep, there is a magazine called that, I checked) but I could not find the original interview in my google search. My hubs and I had a chuckle. It is so like him to go there, in a way mocking people for ‘reducing’ him (or his ‘art’) to just that — heart throb, perfect man, sexual tension, nude scenes…

We do live in a Tenet world PM! I’m not sure we posted that interview – when the site started it was a Livejournal and it may have not been brought across.

Maria, something tells me you will like this old video interview. I think she is echoing what you have said about Edward.

Hahaha PM I wasn’t sure which interview this was when you mentioned it and as soon as I clicked I laughed – Edward’s an axe murderer hahaha I loved this interview when it came out. Thanks PM for the memory lane trip.
