Robert Pattinson co-hosts Dior Homme dinner with Kim Jones
Vogue goes inside Homme’s Dinner co-hosted by Rob and Kim Jones launching the new fragrance last Friday night. Here’s what Rob had to say:
On the walls were black-and-white portraits of Pattinson and video screens that unveiled the new Dior Homme film campaign directed by French duo The Blaze, portraying Pattinson in intimate shots of strength and charm. “I knew I wanted to do something that was about body and physicality,” commented Pattinson, who has been the fragrance’s face since 2013. “The way The Blaze shoot really conveys the motional context through physicality, whether it’s dancing or whether it’s just how they shoot the body. And so, I wanted to do something about skin, which I’ve never really done before,” he added.
The new Dior Homme, composed by Demachy, is a reinvention of its very first version created in 2005, with a new intensely woody scent, capturing the essence of both masculinity and sensuality. As for how to wear it, according to Pattinson: “you spray a little cloud in front of you and you just wiggle around in it. That’s actually how I do it. There’s nothing more exciting!” he said laughing.
