I’ve been keeping my eye on this Macedonian festival since they screened Maps to the Stars last year. Â Also, its origins are thanks to one of my absolute fave directors, Pedro Almodovar. Â What’s CineDays you ask:
“CINEDAYS Festival of European Film was established in 2001 on the initiative of the famous Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar and the esteemed politician Ms. Viviane Reding, at that days serving as Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth, Media and Sport. The idea was to have this kind of European festival in each of the major European capitals as a way to “celebrate the European cinemaâ€. Since then, Skopje is the only European capital where CINEDAYS continued to exist, and evolved in a film festival that positions our city, as as the main anchorage for true cinema loving fans.  …   CINEDAYS is a celebration, a notion, an idea to fight the overwhelming reality with films that criticize but also consume our thoughts. Nowhere else in the world, people are more united than in the cinema – watching and exhaling. Well, CINEDAYS has that magic.”
Queen of the Desert will be included as part of the Gala Premieres section, which means its out of competition, but has been selected due to it’s screening at Berlinale earlier this year.  The premiere will be on 20 November 2015 at 10.00 pm.  I’ll update post when information about tickets becomes available.
Updated: 20 November 2015 re cancelled screening
From Cinedays:
“Friends,
Unfortunately, this is the first and the last news of homely CINEDAYS year.
At the last moment, the distribution company that represents the rights for the film “Queen of the Desert”, dir. Warner Herzog, informed us that it will be able to timely submit our materials for the film. Therefore, we are forced to cancel the screening of this film. Instead of the announced projection that term, 20:11. (Friday), 22:00 am, you are able to follow the most serious candidate to win the Oscar Foreign Language film “lobster” the already great Greek director, Jorgos Lantimos.”

Thanks for reporting about this festival from Macedonia! 😀 They bring a Robert film almost every year. A couple of years ago they also screened Cosmopolis. I have passed this article on to the people who organize it! Thanks a bunch again! 😀
Pleasure @Martina and thank you for letting us know 🙂
