How to choose a fave scene from Cosmopolis, that is the question. There are so many AMAZING moments, each & every one I love.   When having to choose just one though, I went with the scene where Eric shoots Torval. When I read that part in the book I knew seeing Rob act it out would be epic & of course he did NOT disappoint, he completely blew me away (pun not intended) Until now, Eric has never really had a proper conversation with Torval, of course they have spoken but no smiles or general friendly banter like here. Eric is lulling Torval into a false sense of security, smiling & joking, even looking him in the eye for the first time then BANG. Torval never saw that coming. Rob NAILS this scene, the look in his eye when he shoots Torval – perfect. I cannot say enough amazing things about Rob’s performance & the film. I still remember the feeling after I had watched the film for the first time. Eric & his story had me mind, body & soul & I feel the same every time I have watched since. There are no words to describe how much I LOVE Rob as Eric, his portrayal of this character is truly beyond words. You all know exactly what I mean. Cannot wait to spend the week celebrating Rob as Eric & this fantastic film.

Thanks so much once again to Maria for making these amazing vids for us. LOVE them so much.

    Michelle, I have no idea how you girls pick out your fave bits of any movie but Cosmopolis would be impossible. But I am very glad you all do though. I love RPAU Goldern Years.
    I understand your ‘ mind body and soul ‘ comment. This movie gets better with every viewing.

    It was SO hard Carmel, nearly impossible. I would have loved to have chosen the whole movie but sadly that would have been cheating. Oh & greedy *giggles*

    No probs @Carmel – I doubt Lynda watched Cosmopolis – there’s no Edward in it.

    @Maria – I’m quoting again – ‘the more visionary the idea, the more people it leaves behind’ (Kinski this time). God, I loved her and Eric’s conversations. Such wonderful ideas so beautifully written and performed.

    This book. This movie. Eric. I love them all with such intensity. This is going to be an exciting week

    I did watch Cosmopolis. Just because I loved the Twilight Saga, it doesn’t mean I don’t like anything else he is in. I have watched Water For Elephants and Remember me just as much as the Twilight Saga. I haven’t watched Cosmopolis as much as I would like but thats only because my children are usually around and the language is pretty bad in it, but Rob is excellent

    Awesome choice, @Michelle. I love seeing this part of the movie with people who don’t know what’s coming. Agree, Rob totally nailed it.

    (And for the record, I don’t think there would be any complaints if one of you was to choose the ENTIRE movie as your Golden Years Favourite Scene. Now who’s being greedy?!)

    @Lynda I stand corrected.
