So according to The Playlist, this is what Jude Law now has to say about QoTD:

“As for projects that may or may not be happening, Law confirmed Naomi Watts‘ statement that Werner Herzog‘s Gertrude Bell biopic “Queen of the Desert” is now on hold and he will likely be no longer be available for it when it returns. “I don’t think that’s happening. I don’t think I can do that anymore,” he admitted.”

Welcome to Hollywood people where things change on a dime.

Bummer. But I’ll look on the bright side ~ he’s here in Oz now, and hopefully filming The Rover will be an amazing experience for him. Thanks for the update, Maria.

    Shame 🙁 Keeping fingers crossed!

Am really hoping that too Sue re: The Rover. I hope Rob’s filming experience here in Oz will be one that he loves & enjoys so much. Truly hope that he’s able enjoy every single minute. Thanks for the update Maria.

And he has other movies lined up and whatever else he hasn’t told us about yet.

Maybe this frees him up to do something else – that’s my silver lining

Thanks for posting Maria, keeping everything crossed they can figure this out and get it moving. The stories I keep reading about how hard it is to bring films into production….don’t envy them! I so want to see him do this movie and work with Herzog but yes, so much to look forward to for Rob. Bring it on, all of it!! 😀 Here’s hoping he’s having a wonderful experience filming The Rover too. 🙂
