I’m going with Rob’s word on this. Still love ya Naomi and don’t blame you for not giving too much away (Josh just can’t help himself) – but I love that this proves anyone can say anything at any time, but when it comes to talking projects, Rob doesn’t just say he’s involved in something for fun. His confirmation is pretty much for real … unless it’s unbound captives but even then he didn’t say it was a done deal. From memory anyway.

The project sounds still very fluid re logistics. But as Rob said he is part of it then I can’t see any reason to belive otherwise.

So if we know the Who, Watts & Where it seems it is just the When that needs to be answered.

Fingers crossed that this is just a way to keep the lid on things. I felt better about this movie until I saw the video but I’d believe Rob, he did mention his involvement quite a bit.

Not sure why Naomi answers the question the way she did here Silvie, perhaps she didn’t want to talk about QOTD while she was promoting another movie (understandable) or maybe she just isn’t 100% sure about Rob’s involvement, hard to say. As we know, Rob has confirmed his involvement in the film several times, we have heard it straight from the horses mouth so of course he is the one all of us here believe. No one knows better about what he’s doing than Rob himself

Thanks for the update Michelle. Naomi may not want to speak on behalf of other actor’s (I can respect that) so hence her vagueness re Rob’s involvement with the project. I agree with you all Rob would not mention his attachment unless he was totally signed on. Lining up a film must be like building a house of cards everything has to be right; script, finance, cast and crew availability – I feel certain all parties will come together it may just need a bit of time. Rob has a lot of work lined up as it is it may be a good thing that this gets pushed back a bit in regards to production shooting.

I agree with you all, slightly embarrassed that fanboy had to ask about Rob when she’s there to promote another movie and possibly hasn’t had a chance to even give QotD much thought. It’s actually refreshing she didn’t want to say more tbh. Anyway, thanks for the update Michelle – loved your post *thumbs up* voice of reason I really am so excited for this movie and Rob.

Naomi didn’t even sound sure about her own involvement so I’ll take whatever she says with a grain of salt.

As for “fangirl” – I hope his parents didn’t pay for his journalism degree because that is truly a complete waste of money.

@Mary there was never any official start date for QoTD. Rob had said a few times that he had about 3 films to do before it, so I’m not sure why everyone all of a sudden is worried that this movie is on hold. As with any movie, until the actors are actually on set anything can happen – even up to the week before financiers can pull out – unfortunately that’s the movie industry.

I think Naomi Watts was more annoyed by the fact that certain journos were more interested in the film she’s planning to do with Rob rather than the film she was actually promoting at Sundance and I don’t blame her.

I agree with you, Maria. It must take incredible inner strength to deal with the inane questions.
