For those not on Twitter, I thought I’d share some teasing we received today from Cassian Elwes, one of the producers for Queen of the Desert.

What does this mean? Is Rob definately involved? Definately teasing.

Rob’s definitely involved – I’m pretty sure he’s talked about it during some interviews hasn’t he?

Yes Maria, there was talk but I’ve heard more about Rover and Mission Blacklist, I just get a little insecure until things start. I need to do my breathing excercises ha ha ha.

Ooooooh how exciting 😀 Yep he has indeed Maria. He talked about it quite a lot in the Cosmopolis MTV First interview.

@Sivie not that I want you to reach for a paper bag, but financing can be pulled at any time before filming starts. I’ve said this before, the original financiers for The English Patient pulled out days before it was set to start filming because they weren’t convinced Ralph Fiennes nor Juliette Binoche were the right choices. Joke was on them though.

So I don’t feel comfortable until I’ve seen Rob on set …

Thanks for these Twitter comments Maria. The Sydney banner – love this pic.

I’m feeling very confident that Rob will be part of this cast – as prev mentioned by reputable sources most notably himself. The English Patient financing goss re Fiennes and Binoche is fascinating however, between Naomi and Rob exists a huge body of work that has been noticed by mainstream and indie audiences – can’t foresee a financing issue with Herzog, Pattinson and Watts and other thes actor/s to come. A big year of filming for Rob.

Thanks @bee Kaye as soon as I took it I knew it was going to be the banner 🙂

Yes Maria, I guess that’s why I’m still on edge. Something tangible would be a good thing.

@michellec Minghella was a pretty big name re English Patient and I was told this story by the Assistant Director – they wanted Demi Moore instead of Juliette. Not saying its happening with Robs movies just that anything is possible.

Just like I’m sure no one was willing to finance Unbound Captives even with Hugh and Rachel because Stowe is an unknown quantity director wise

But I love your insight on Rob 🙂
