Just wondering if there’s anything we can do to vote for Cosmopolis in Cannes. Apparently there is voting and at the moment On The Road is leading. I would love to be able to support Rob to win this.

@silvie – I don’t know what you are talking about but Cannes is serious business and not a fan voted event.

And the Palme d’Or is more a win for David Cronenberg than Rob, but I get that if the movie is a success then it’s due to everyone involved not just David.

    Updated:
Silvie I think I realise what you are talking about and they are fan voted polls that have nothing to do with making a difference in the voted categories at Cannes. Personally we don’t really believe in them since they mean nothing in real terms (and especially when one fandom pits itself against another). There are more than 2 films in competition in Cannes so … Also, if you don’t see us posting anything like that here at RPAU its because we don’t want to promote or get involved with it (pretty much like we rarely post print articles claiming Rob has said this or that – most of the time they are rehashed and pulled together from older interviews). Believe me if you see it, then we’ve seen it too 🙂
    Cheers
