Yeah I know I said I wouldn’t do a lot of these, but it looks like it’s slowing down here in Oz – if you can call it that.  According to UrbanCine although BD Pt 1 is still holding onto the no. 1 spot – it seems to only have grossed AUD5,020,312 as opposed to AUD15,333,608 in week 1.  Still $5M in one week is pretty damn good … right.

Figures at Box Office Mojo are:

US – USD220,832,009
Foreign:  USD268,000,000

Again that’s a lot of money honey … but they’ve also stated this:

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 topped the foreign box office for a second-straight weekend with an estimated $71.5 million from 68 markets. Its biggest opening came in Germany, where it debuted to $14.2 million including previews. That’s an improvement over Eclipse but down a bit from New Moon. Excluding Germany’s grosses, Breaking Dawn declined around 61 percent from last weekend.”

It’s an “improvement over Eclipse” – you’re not kidding there .. I still cannot bring myself to watch anything other than FF Edward from that film.  I so wish that one day we will see the tent scene that Rob claimed was better than the redo they did that was included in the film.  We live in hope.
