So we should find out from later today if this becomes a reality …
I’ll keep you posted. Â Thanks to @larry411 for keeping us in the loop
Oh @flippyluv for letting us know that TIFFReviews has nothing to do with the Film Festival. Anyway, Brad Brevet of Rope of Silicon is also saying that Bel Ami is rumoured to be selected for TIFF:
“Keeping my eye on Twitter I have seen a few titles listed. Bel Ami starring Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman is expected to play at the fest …”
Updated: Bel-Ami was not included in the movies released on 26 July. More films to be announced Tuesday 2 August. Thanks Lise-Lou for keeping an eye out for us!

Ooo what great, exciting news!!! *clapshands*. Thank Maria for the info. I will also keep my fingers crossed!
Can’t wait to have this news confirmed – recognition Rob surely deserves. Roll on Bel Ami and make the second half of 2011 a Robfeast. Thanks Maria for post.
Hope this is confirmed. Can not wait for this to come out!Just from what I’ve seen in the trailer, i think this will be robs best performance to date.
This would be brilliant! My fingers are crossed too, girls
All those in favour say I!!!!
Yes please!
@Lise Lou- I. !!!!!!!
God I hope this happens. Rob haters are saying it will never happen
Oh what do they know @Shirlee – Cronenberg’s there this year – he clearly saw something in Rob to include him in his latest film so they can “shut it” LOL.
Rob is really putting himself out there. He deserves success. I think it’s great how he has been taking on different roles and he can only get better and better. I hope he gets the acknowledgement that he has worked so hard for.
It would be great news if Bel Ami on TIFF August 2 list, however, if not, I am hoping it will be released this year. I am assuming that still waiting for a distributor in the US. Can’t understand why this should be so, when I see what comes out of the US film industry. I will be interested to see which direction Rob takes over the next few years. Thanks for update Maria.
