No Longer on Rob’s IMDbPro as at 30 June 2011.

I know I know – Akira was listed there and now it’s gone so please don’t tell me how unreliable it is, I’ve heard and accepted your comments about it.  I’m not saying this is gospel, but Rob’s IMDbPro is showing The Crow in his projects “In Development”.  There have been rumours of Rob being involved in this remake since 2009, and I’m not sure why they are showing both Bradley Cooper and Rob for the same role since according to The Playlist, Bradley Cooper is definitely playing Eric Draven.   Hmm not sure if Brads can pull off this dark character,  Rob on the other hand I have no doubts about.  Anyway – I’m only posting this to update you on what’s happening with Rob’s IMDbPro – it’s possible nothing will eventuate, but  seeing how desperate we are to hear anything I thought I’d share.  It’s only at script stage given the legal battles involved.  Will keep you posted.

PS.  The clown pic above is just used to enhance the fact that Rob already does this well – the face paint for those who haven’t seen the Alex Proyas 1994 version of the film.

We’ll definitely take any news that’s for sure, even if it’s only a rumour. Just the mention of an in development is SO exciting. Cannot wait to find out what brilliant role you choose to do next Rob!

I agree Maria re: Bradley Cooper. Can’t really see him in this role – he doesn’t seem the type to be able to pull off someone so dark. Rob most definitely can do anything – anything in the world. Thanks for the update Maria & look forward to hearing what happens.

I don’t mind a good rumour every now and then, so thanks for keeping us in the loop Maria.
I’m not going to say how many times I’ve watched the 1994 version, mostly because I lost count … it might be time to revisit. Just for fun ofcourse.

Thanks for the info Maria. Anything relating to future projects is welcomed even if it is a rumour. Loved the Brandon Lee version and have no doubt if Rob was to get this role he would make it his own. Looking forward to the updates.

It’s OK. I’d prefer Rob to do the right roles for the right reasons and I trust his instincts. If it isn’t this movie (Bradley Cooper – really?) then something better will be waiting for him.
Also, am i right that this movie has a bit of a cursed history?
