Oh wait wrong story.  I swear even a bad wig and dubbing can’t make Rob look bad and how much did he love not having to shave … The first two caps are probably my favourite and seriously he jokes about Job being the role he most covets – looking at these I can so see him in that role.  Anyhoo I felt like seeing some Giselher today and so here’s a few screencaps – a few of which are my way as you can no doubt tell.

Vertigo as promised

oh and this one which is only short, but Michelle wasn’t around for her to make me a gif

If reposting caps or vids, please credit RPAU.

Oh to be his horse in the first vid….and did you notice “the tongue” in the second one….

Maria, I agree, the bad wig and dubbing don’t matter at all…when you’re gorgeous, you’re gorgeous no matter what.. 🙂

Ain’t that the truth – nothing can make Rob look bad – nope NOTHING. He is SO gorgeous as Giselher. Thanks so much for these caps Maria – oh I just LOVE them. Rob would be absolutely perfect as Job. I can so see him in that role as well.

Giselher on horseback & the second video= *__________* Both absolutely essential 😀

Rob looked magnificent as Giselher. That jaw always looks heroic. Pity about the dubbing. There must be an original print around somewhere with Rob’ beautiful voice. It would be tempting to re-release it if there was a copy. I think I still must be dreaming. Don’t wake me.

He could even play Jesus. Every time I see these pictures he reminds me of Jesus, I suppose it’s the wig and the facial hair, and that angelic face of his. But I do agree with all of you, I will never understand why the hell they dubbed his voice. @Caro if you ever come across the original print, make sure send one my way.

I agree @Martha M – he reminds me of Jesus in that photo too. I’m not sure whether Rob ended up doing the voice over for the film – he may never have had to do it knowing they were going to dub his voice. Now that’s a question someone should ask him if they ever get the chance.

@Mema if I’m not mistaken, this was his first film. Here in the USA it’s called “Dark Kingdom The Dragon King”.

Rob’s first role is actually Vanity Fair in which as we know his scene was cut – grrrr. Still cannot to this day believe they cut his scene *shakes head in digust* You would have to be insane to cut any of Rob’s scenes ever – morons. Ring Of The Nibelungs came after Vanity Fair so was his second film role 😀 Here in Australia it’s called Curse Of The Ring.

Mema – you need to get your hands on a copy of the film. Rob as Giselher is of course a MUST see. In answer to your question Caro – yep we have all seen the movie in full. We’ve watched all of Rob’s movies – well just too many times to count lol

Michelle I have to agree with you, how could they delete his scene? I will never understand it. I never saw the movie at the cinema, I do have the DVD but I only purchased it to see “The deleted scene” and it was totally worth it. Thanks for correcting me. I always seem to forget VF. I guess cause they cut him out.
