Here’s a picture of the full wax figure that is to be unveiled at Madame Tussauds.  I know it’s only a wax replica but there’s something about it that when I first saw it for some reason reminded me of a young Cliff Richards and not Rob.  I’m sure there will be loads of tourists who ask – who is this?  Oh and why did I post the Sex Drive comparison photo?  It really was to burn the memory of Cliff Richards out of my head.  Yeah I know really unfair right – wish they had used that as the model for the replica!  Thanks to our friends and elite affie Spunk Ransom and @Twilighter_News for the pic.

That face…sorry but it’s not Rob! There is a small likeness, but I agree Maria, they should have used the Sex Drive photo.

They definitely should have used the Sex Drive pic as the model for sure. Agree with you for sure Maria, I don’t think who this wax figurine is will be obvious to many. Definitely no real likeness at all.

Imagine if they used my fav Cosmo Rob – it makes me giggle thinking of it…I can’t see properly but as long as they got the chest hair right you could stare at that (what is wrong with me this morning :o)

Who the hell is that suppose to be it doesn’t even look like Rob. It scares me to look at it. They have to change it. It’s a insult to Rob. **shivers** have to not look.

I agree it’s terrible. They could have picked 100 different looks. But they got this completely wrong. A shame considering how many good likeness’s they have done in the past. Oh well, back to staring at the photo’s. 🙂

    LOL Maria! Cliff *shivers*
I thought he looked like a random male escort.

When logging on just now, I had to look around for fear I was turning senile and entered the wrong site. True wtf moment indeed.

I guess there’s a resemblance in the white Tshirt. *scratches head*

Wow I don’t know what to say (and not in a good way!) looks like a poor man’s Hugh Jackman with a little bit of someone from Beverly Hills 90210 thrown in.

Well it just proves what we all know here at RPAU, there is NO substitute for Rob..

Ok I just got it, for OHS reasons they couldn’t make it look too much like Rob, too many casualties – fainting, no breathing, heart attacks and general hysteria! Makes complete sense to me now LOL

Hahahaha @lise-lou so true so true. @Vertigo for sure WTF moment. I don’t think fans are going to take to this very well. I wonder how Rob feels about it. @Maria I know your not going to like this comment but it would have been better if they got it all wrong and made Edward Cullen I know it’s not Rob but surely more tolerable than as @Vertigo said looking like a random male escort or like @lise-lou said looking like a poor man’s Hugh Jackman with a little bit of someone from Beverly Hills 90210 thrown in. Not happy **shakes head** not happy.

@Sonya – bite your tongue – Edward is NOT Rob LOL. To be honest I’m not that flustered about it because it’s a wax dummy and well it’s not Rob and seriously I wouldn’t want my photo taken with it because that’s just cruel. I guess Madame Tussaud’s really just installed it “to tease us”. Hahaha. As to what Rob thinks, well it speaks volumes to me that he isn’t attending the unveiling. Just saying …

@Lise-Lou – I wonder how many times they are going to have to “repair” the wax figure because people want to take a piece of Rob away.

  • Michelle
    Posted on March 25, 2010

Yes indeed Maria, the fact that Rob is not attending definitely speaks volumes. Wise choice Rob, wise choice

LOL lise-lou at your 90210 comment. Maybe a bit of Luke Perry in there I thought hahaha.

@Maria I was biting my tongue while I wrote that. I was shuddering as well just thinking about your reaction. LOL. Yes u are absolutely right as well. Eddie is not Rob and it’s only a wax figurine but hell girl it still creeps me out looking at that.. that… can’t even find words for it.

    @ Temajin – lol

@Maria – At least it gave you an excuse to bring out Sex Drive Rob. For that I am very grateful.

@Carmel – I know – it was a toss up between that and Rome Rob, but he just had his hands in pockets perfectly in this one.

WTF?! that’s not rob!couldn’t they have used one of all the other million photos?!?!?!? he looks very little alike.and for those who stil haven’t seen rob(poor them…) and they see that pic as the first pic they will have the wrong impression… 🙁

I saw the making of the wax head, thought then that it wasn’t very good, even compared to the photo they used. It looks more like Hugh Jackman than Rob. Sad that they couldn’t do better. The very essence of Rob is missing!
