I’m glad you said that out loud Maria because I’ve been reading some shiz outside our sanctuary today that makes it clear the sooky la la’s are mourning the loss of something that never existed. They can whine all they like, but we who understand fine wines, know this is the beginning of something really beautiful, even though it’s been evident all along – Details has created the extra push that was needed. Like you said before, move over Tweens and I’ll add, go back to reading Girlfriend and such.

@Vertigo I’ve always been thankful for the regular followers we have at RPAU and their comments. We may not be one of the biggest sites, we don’t shamelessly self promote and we focus on Rob’s career – that’s what was set out from the beginning. But, never have I been more thankful than yesterday since you all clearly understand who Rob Pattinson “the actor” is. I too have seen a lot of the comments out there. Why can’t people just accept his decision. I’m sick of seeing everything about Rob being debated to death. Seriously this shoot is beautiful. It’s art people – art – not pornography. It might be a mens magazine but it is tasteful. Why are people disgusted by the human body? Whoever is offended or disgusted by this shoot clearly needs to move on – I hear Zefron might be doing another Disney film – you should happily skip over to him. This shoot for me has confirmed that Rob is serious about the choices he makes and he doesn’t make these decisions lightly. Sheer brilliance Mr Pattinson, better to get rid of the driftwood now so that your true supporters can relish in the enigma that IS Robert Pattinson in the years to come.

Have kept my blinkers on today so haven’t seen the comments outside of this site but can only imagine. *rolls eyes* Completely agree with all your comments Maria and as we all know Rob is a very mature and intelligent guy. I don’t think for a minute he didn’t know what some of the backlash would be but he is obviously making some very savvy career choices to broaden his demographic and develop his career. If this helps “get rid of the driftwood” then more power to him I say!
He is a talented actor who has so much more to show us and I know that everyone here will definately be here for the long haul too! 😉

Well, I’m not completely speechless, but I am amazed at the views of the fans out there. Some of the sites I thought I would find interesting discussions but just found puritanical nonsense about Rob needing a publicist to stop him ruining his career.

I believe Rob has made a very savvy career move with the Detail shoot and the article (which I really enjoyed). Rob is a bright man capable of presenting himself exactly the way he chooses. This is art. Rob is an artist. Have faith in the man, not just the face.

This is my true home with true fans and I say once more a very heart felt Thank You to Michelle & Maria for providing this community that feels so right.

One more thing… Are they leather pants Rob is wearing?

he never was a teeny bopper actor…and he has proven it over and over….he is a mature gorgeous man and I think these pics of him are so stunning….something totally different and I love it!!

@everyone I agree with you all wholeheartedly.. You only have to listen to Rob when his interviewed and you know he is much more than a teen idol.. he is mature beyond his years and he knows who he is and what he wants an he is going to go out there and get what he wants.. just shows what an absolute beautiful individaul he is
