summerhouse2

Any bit of information about this short film (very short film – 14 minutes) is like a breath of fresh air.   Thanks to RobertPattinsonOnline for this interesting piece of information.

The Summer House was finally screened at The British Society of Cinematographers “New  Cinematographers Night” in November of 2009 – it was apparently a late inclusion.  According to BSC:

“Filmed in France, this is the first venture by Miss Gili to produce write and direct her own short film. Although she is joint principle of the non government funded London Film Academy, her short was made totally independent of the LFA. The result is a warm, dreamy piece, which captures the lazy summer afternoons and cool evenings at the French villa, for a gathering of family members. I suppose the temptation may have been there to pace it up a bit, but she held to the story which gently unfolded. Nicely photographed by Alex Ryle.”

Ah yes, well how could Rob NOT be nicely photographed.  I hope we can definitely see this 14 minute masterpiece some time soon.  I had read last year that they were planning to release the DVD to coincide with sales of the book, but nothing has been confirmed.  As soon as we hear anything (and I mean anything) we will let you know.  I just love that pic above.

Agree Vertigo, we have waited so long – please release the film to us soon.

I got seriously SO excited when I was able to change the RM countdown into the 40’s today. 49 days to go Vertigo, that is starting to sound so so much better 😀 Although I do wish it was 4 hehe.
