guys didn’t watch people choice awards.do u know if rob was awarded anything??????
@SR Not individually no, but I think he won best onscreen team or something like that for Twilight with Taylor and Kristen. I don’t really take those awards too seriously.
well me too but i was just wondering if people know to appreciate good things
There is nothing random about Rob, these are lovely Maria. Like a lucky dip you don;t know what you are going to get but you hope for something special. Best lucky dip ever! 🙂
Glad you are back from Robsulation Michelle, love that term!
random rob works for me!
Maria,
Rob must be the most photograph young actor nowadays and his varied facial expressions. Not one photo I think is the same. It’s baffling at times how he creates those expressions. I can understand if its an official photoshoots but like those red carpet premiers, this expressions are limitless in terms of body language, stance, facial and that infectious smile.
Also, as far as LA showing at Astor Theatre, we are around the 160 mark. We spoke to Tim for quite sometime coz we got the wrong time. Anyway, since it was a hot day today, we just hang out/chat at the lobby on the ground floor then onto the 2nd floor where LA was shown and enjoyed the art deco theme at the surrounds.
Rob’s performance was quite rivetting with snippets of rawness considering the amount of work he has done so far at such young age.
His varied facial expressions came to the fore. He was good in delusional, craziness and eccentric portrayal of SD. There was one scene nearing the end where Rob’s portrayal was magnificent.
I wish I had seen the SD exhibition in Melbourne so I could correlate with the movie his student/early works in Paris.
I chuckle a bit on his frontal obscured nude scene considering all the hotness, sexiness blogs/comment about him. Their sex scenes are bit tame considering its classification.
The “now” scene of Rob is when they were bike riding along the beach. Those facial expressions of youth, happiness and that smile that lights up the screen are very enlightening in a bit sad theme of the movie.
I’m just hoping that the Spanish Gov. after Franco had done something to commemorate or gave recognition to Lorca. The film might have used original footage from their archives of the black & white scenes of the happenings at the time.
As Tim commented, it’s only Astor who decided to have it shown in Melbourne.
There’s another double header showing of Twilight & New Moon at the Astor on Friday 12th Feb at 7:30 P.M. A Valentine showing for the twifans.
London Rob will always be on top of my favs list.
*wipes chin*
@Addy so glad you enjoyed seeing LA and as for Rob’s facial expressions – I still can’t believe that Mike Newell (GoF director) said Rob had limited facial expressions – umm I know what’s limited and it ain’t Rob. And I agree, Rob bike riding in Cadaiques is one of my favourites scenes – oh I just love that film, it’s my favourite Rob performance to date – I can’t say it enough. Thanks for letting me know how it went – very much appreciated. The Astor rocks!
