Thanks to everyone who came out to support Little Ashes last night at Randwick  – I really appreciated it.  I haven’t got final numbers but I think we may have sneaked towards 70 – still not enough I’m sure to entice The Ritz to screen How To Be, but hey – I tried.  If you hadn’t seen the film before I hoped you enjoyed it.  For me, although I’ve seen it many times, it was great seeing Rob in this role on the big screen is a completely different experience.  I took a friend of mine along who is not an obsessed Rob fan and she loved it.  So now that Sydney has experienced this wonderful film, it’s Melbourne’s turn next.  If you are able to get to St Kilda on 10 January 2010 please go along to The Astor and really really see Rob shine.

You did such a wonderful job with everything Maria & I know how much all of us here appreciate your efforts. Can imagine just how amazing Little Ashes would be on the big screen. Such a wonderful opportunity to experience this beautiful film at the cinema. As we always say, nothing can ever beat the big screen. Would have been a completely different experience for sure especially with the different cut of the film. Melbourne people are definitely in for a such a wonderful treat. Please do attend & support Rob & this amazing film. Believe me if that patch of water between Tas & Melbourne was a road instead, I would be making the trip no hesitations whatsoever. Would take ages I know, but it’s Rob 😀

Huge THANKS from me too for all your efforts Maria, it really was a treat. I didn’t think the film could get any better and bam, all of a sudden Rob’s performance peaked to a new level, as did the beauty of the movie. It’s amazing what a little HQ glory can do.
    Melbourne – get ready!

Ooooooo I can’t wait, it’s 4pm Sunday 10th, I’m telling everybody at work to go see this amazing film about Dali – theatre is just up the road from work and we all go there a lot.
Oh thank you so much for this.

My HTB dvd is awesome, so much freakin goodness in the extras, I love the other 2 dudes in this movie.

Does the Haunted Airman have any extras on it? JB Hifi has it allover the place next to Twilight stuff.

@Kespax – So so exciting, you will be counting down the days until January 10th 😀 The movie is so beautiful. The How To Be DVD sure is awesome. I just adore Art & the movie. Mike & Johnny are awesome guys I agree, very funny. Unfortunately The Haunted Airman doesn’t have any extras but Rob is just brilliant as Toby.

@Lise-Lou & Sare – LOL I know what you both mean, I was damning the distance between myself & Rob as Dali on the big screen. So close but still so far.

@ Maria – It was strange that those scenes were cut, but nothing took away from seeing LA on the big screen. I also took a non – believer and he really liked the film. Being a guy, it wasn’t Rob’s beauty that impressed; it was his acting and the film as a whole.
    I was so proud!

It was sooooo great being there at the cinema and seeing the movie on the big screen! I’ve seen the movie loads of times but I found a new appreciation for the story and Rob’s performance in it. He did such a marvelous job! I took (dragged) three of my pals who are not so into Rob and they absolutely loved it! They are now slowly getting into all things Rob, but of course, I told them they had to get in line!! It was such a great night, so thanks a bunch Maria for making it happen!

Hi Jasmine – it was a pleasure and I understand what you mean about new appreciation – it really is different seeing it in the cinema. I just love Rob as Salvador.
