caps024

So the Tweed News will run a story on how Stephen Buge of Kingscliff Cinemax has decided to do a screening of Little Ashes.  Stephen thinks this film will be a hit in Australia.  Well Stephen you are so right, Rob’s fans should be excited about the opportunity you are about to give them to see this amazing film on the big screen.  I know you are all reading this going  blah blah blah Maria we hear you say this everyday.  Well if you really knew what has gone into getting this film onto the cinema screens in Australia perhaps you might take note.  So far this morning only 20 tickets had been sold for Sydney.  We’ve got less than a week to sell that cinema out in order to have further screenings of Little Ashes in February.  C’mon Sydney do we really want to be outdone by Kingscliff, Adelaide and Melbourne?  How many times have you all gone to see New Moon?  Well I can tell you I’ve seen both films and you CANNOT compare Rob’s portrayal of Eddie with his incredible performance as Salvador Dali.  I know blasphemy right – well prove me wrong.  You know one of the main questions and pleas we get at RPAU is “please help bring Rob to Australia”.   Well I’m beginning to think why bother – will you all turn up for him if he’s not dressed as Eddie?  If you want to read the Tweed News article, just click on the link.

To purchase tickets for the only cinemas so far committed to the screenings:

Sydney (or click on widget on side bar):  9 December 2009, Ritz Cinema, Randwick – www.ritzcinema.com.au.

Melbourne:  10 January 2010, Astor Theatre, St Kilda – www.astor-theatre.com.

Adelaide:  7 Jan 2010,  Trak Cinema – www.trakcinema.com.au

Kingscliff, NSW:  14 Jan 2010 Kingscliff Cinemax  – www.cinemaxcinema.com.au

Stephen sure is so right, all of Rob’s fans should be so so excited they are getting the opportunity to see this absolutely brilliant movie on the big screen. It really is a very special opportunity & one that should be appreciated & supported. Until you have seen Rob’s absolutely brilliant performance as Dali you seriously have not had the absolute pleasure of seeing him truly shine. Rob is wonderful as Eddie, you know we think he is but I just wish some people would realise that Eddie is not ALL Rob is about. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how brilliant Rob is in this role & how beautiful this movie is. Please everyone show your support for Rob & this wonderful movie by attending. Rob deserves every single bit of our support so come on everyone, what are you waiting for – go purchase your tickets.

I am beginning to think the same Maria about the ‘bring Rob to Oz’ pleas. It really is very very disappointing.

Great article and great to see the Oz screenings getting some publicity, now we just need to transfer this into “bums on seats”.

This is such a wonderful movie and can only imagine how beautiful it will translate onto the big screen. If it is screening near you, would be MAD to not see Rob in what I think is his best role to date. Enjoy those of you are able to go and be sure to drag a friend or 5 along. If it makes it to Perth I wouldn’t miss it for anything. DO IT!!!!!
