Keeping in with the theme of Comic-Con (as much as I dislike it) I do love this little interview that Rob gave to the LA Times last year.   It was just after the panel questions and provides great insight into Rob’s opinon of the screaming – yep Rob I agree – definitely would be like the “gates of hell”.  It’s only a short vid, but I love it because of his honest answers (yes Rob, does anyone wear briefs anymore), tell tale facial expressions and hand through hair which always draw me in.

I really love this little interview too & love hearing all Rob’s great answers. His ‘gates of hell’ description of all the screaming is absolutely spot on. Like I have said before, the point of screaming at someone I just do not get at all. It is just plain terrifying like Rob said & very unfair to do to someone. Rob’s facial expressions really do say it all in this one. Love the hand through the hair as always.

Thanks for sharing this one with us Maria.

I love how he asks the question to himself out loud. He does it in a few of the interviews I’ve seen. Shows that he is really thinking about what to say.

    Thanks Maria

“gates of hell” then followed by “terrified as hell”, I know this is stating the obvious, but these are really heavy descriptions which show just how bad he was feeling about it. I can’t possibly imagine what he must have gone through, none of us could. Bear hug coming Rob’s way – again.
Then when the interviewer asked “are you ready for it?” my heart broke with his all telling expression.
Thankyou for this Maria, people need to see it as a reminder.
However, the “hand through hair” sooths me too.

Sare – I agree. Asking the question out loud and thinking about it is something he used to do a fair bit – it was one of the qualities that clinched the deal for me.

Exactly Vertigo, this interview really does show just how terrified Rob was during the insane screaming session that is Comic Con. None of us can even begin to imagine what a truly scary experience it was for Rob & this interview is definitely a reminder that everyone needs to see. It makes me so upset seeing him put in a situation like that where he feels terrified & uncomfortable. I hope that someday soon the screaming will stop for Rob. No one appreciates his work & the person that he is more than us here but screaming is not the right way to express that love for him. Just makes him feel bad & that is not what we want.

Great Vid! i completely agree with all you guys, the screaming is totally wrong and rood. But, one thing that impresses me about Rob is his way of dealing with it – he always does it with a smile, in a modest, humble way, even if inside he is terrified. It’s so impressing. GO ROB!

Thanks guys – i’m glad you all agree – some people think I’m being overly paranoid about Rob being at Comic-Con this year, but I thought this vid explained where I was coming from. Plus I really don’t want to post the pic of him backstage last year – it’s too distressing.

We all get where you and are coming from Maria that is what makes this site the best!! I too am a sucker for him touching his hair all the time *sigh* and his poor face when she said are you ready for more…..think he puts on a much braver face than what he was really feeling about it all. I guess he is another year older and wiser so may have some better strategies of dealing with it but that doesn’t mean it is something he would or could enjoy.
