Here’s another deleted scene – this time from Carlisle & Esme (and we get a glimpse of Rob in his infamous “spider monkey” scene at the beginning). It’s a shame they didn’t include this in the film – I think it’s an excellent scene.

    Indeed… it’s a great scene… and it’s so short, not even 40 seconds…

I don’t believe it would have made such a difference if they had kept it in :/, and it gives so many little, important details: that Edward had been alone and miserable for a long time, that Alice has seen that Edward might kill Bella, it revealed Esme’s romantic nature and the sheer love between her and Carlisle… all in less than 40 seconds.

These are the things that really make me wonder: how is it possible that practically everything they could do wrong with this film, they did???

I honestly wish they would redo it and do it right this time… starting from Stephenie Meyer writing the script, as Anne Rice did for Interview With The Vampire. Now, that was an awesome film.

I shiver at the thought of Melissa Whatshername still writing New Moon’s script :(. She should stick to Dexter (which I love by the way, and that’s what really puzzles me about this Twilight half disaster).

Hi Athena, i agree with you…I’m quite disappointed with the movie, in so many levels. That’s why I’m dying to watch the DVD outtakes and deleted scenes. I want to know the full story.

There might be some hope with New Moon though. There’s going to be a new director, and I think he’s going to do a great job.

I agree with both of you, though I still loved the movie. Carlisle and Esme are my 2nd favorite couple in the movie, and they have such a great part in the book, but barely anything in the movie, which was a great dissapointment. I think this scene should have been in the movie, because it gives so much information, that if you didn’t read the books, could catch you up on what is going on. Also, Carlisle and Esme are so adorable, and this scene is just so cute! It just shows the audience that Carlisle and Esme are romantic, and love each other so much, instead of Carlisle just putting his arm around Esme. I wish it was in the movie, it was such a good scene! However, I’m not saying I didn’t like the movie, I loved it so much! I am a Twilight addict. Yet, the movie left out so much, and probably confused the audience that didn’t watch the movie. I really think Stephanie Meyer should have written the script, that lady knows what she’s talking about! The person that wrote the script left out like half the book, and by the 5th scene, we were like halfway through the book! Maybe New Moon will be better, but I don’t know if I want to watch it, I’m a die-hard Edward Fan. (I have the biggest crush on him. He’s my hero. I HATE JACOB!) I don’t know if I can handle all that Jacob! I barely survived the book! Well, anyway, loved the scene!
