Great start to the week with UHQ photos and new film news. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: That promotional photo is my favourite yet, but then again I say that about most of Robert’s photos.  I also love the different variation of the child with his parents and Charles Marker. But more importantly I love the UHQs Posh spoilt us with. Wonderful.  Japan gets a distributor and a “G” classification. I’m surprised by that classification. We also found out a few days later that the film will be released in November through Toho cinemas. Dates still to be confirmed as I post this. The Japanese poster was also unleashed and it’s beautiful.  Poland also gets a distributor and a release date. All links confirming the November release date are now on the post. I like to make it easy for those who don’t like to source us. Some like to treat us like Voldemort. I still laugh at that, but as long as the information is provided to Robert’s fans *shrugs*. New York is having a sneak peek screening at the IFC Center on 20 July 2016 that includes a Q&A with Brady Corbet. Get your tix! I’ve also put together a very small list of cinemas planning on screening the film and some VOD links. I hope to update that with more cinemas this week. London is also having early screenings at Art House Crouch End from 22 July. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday. Bloody brilliant for you Londoners. Looks like Polar Star is the sales agent for PayTV & VOD for Latin America and Brazil. DAMSEL: I have been waiting to write the name of this film. So intrigued by it. I watched Kumiko: The Treasure Hunter last weekend. Beautifully filmed. I like how the Zellner Bros do a David Michod and write roles for themselves in their films (or should I say what David used to do pre The Rover). I’ve also set up a film page not that I expect we will get a load of information considering how small budget this film appears to be. I also love how low key it is – or is trying to be. Speaking of which – it’s now listed on IMDbPro with no cast. Sneaky sneaky. LIFE: Mexico is having a few more screenings as part of the 36th international forum of films. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Werner Herzog held a Q&A on Reddit the day before his online Masterclass. Thankfully a few asked him some questions about this film.  IN OTHER NEWS: Michelle, as usual, is not making it easy with her 12 months of Rob choices for August *shakesfist*. For those interested, you can watch Benny Safdie’s first short online for free for a short time. I loved Indiewire’s comment “”be on the lookout for their upcoming film “Good Time,†starring Robert Pattinson”. I also came across a great conversation about how great Rob was in Cosmopolis and The Childhood of a Leader. Both Conrad and I later agreed that Robert IS great in Cosmopolis. Stephen A Russell from The LowDownunder sang praises for The Childhood of a Leader post Sydney Film Festival and he’s singing praises again for people to go and see it at the Melbourne Film Festival.  As we head into the new week remember to check out IFC Center for screening details and tix from tomorrow, 18 July.  That goes for London too with the screenings at Art House Crouch End. Later next week look out for Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire on FOXTEL on Thursday and Life being released in Brazil. Don’t worry we will tweet reminders closer to those dates.  So until then …

Bwahahhahaha – Maria is Voldemort! Love it!!!
Also, in other news, my daughter just rang me in tears as she found out her latest love, Tom Holland, is in Lost City of Z with Rob. I gave her the link to the RPAU Film page so she could jump on the bandwagon with us all. We will be going to that premier on equal fan footing.
That’s exciting @Carmel! I love stories like this
