Â
I am liking very much that this film is being included at a lot of film festivals. Â It gives me hope that we may see it at the Sydney Film Festival in June 2016. Â Fingers crossed Aussies. Â The festival runs from 6 to 14 November 2015. Â Here is what we know so far from SEFF ’15 website:
“The award for best new director in Venice and a spectacular cast endorse debut conducting the young actor Brady Corbet ( Funny Games , Melancholy ), with the British film The childhood of a leader . The SEFF Spain will host the premiere of this film starring faces as popular as Robert Pattinson, Berenice Bejo ( The Artist ), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones ) and Stacy Martin ( Nymphomaniac ). With music by Scott Walker, the story is set in post-World War I period and is based on the childhood experiences of some of the most fearsome dictators of the twentieth century.” [My emphasis]
More information to come.

Update 24 October 2015
According to the “provisional” schedule the premiere for The Childhood of a Leader will be at 7.15 pm on 8 November 2015 (it looks like there may be a media screening at 12.30 pm) and a further screening at 8.00 pm on 9 November 2015. Of course this is subject to change and so I will keep you posted if the dates alter.
Here’s an extract from the proposed program as well
