HALLELUJAH
Thanks to @sallyvg and @imbabysky for the massive heads up. I’ll add more to this post as it comes through from Venice. Â LinkinMovies.it is currently at the press conference.
Again, thanks to Sally who let us know that the film is not in the main competition but in the Horizons (emerging new filmmakers). Â She tweeted me the link to the official site where the category is described:
“3.3 Horizons
The international competition for a maximum of 20 films, dedicated to films representing new aesthetic trends and expressive of world cinema, with particular regard to the beginnings, the authors emerging and not yet fully established, films from smaller, lesser-known, but also works that measure up genres and current production with intent innovation and creative originality.
Within the Horizons section it houses a competitive selection of short films up to 20 minutes, chosen according to criteria of quality and originality linguistic expression.
“Are eligible for selection only feature films and short films presented at the Show in a world premiere.”
From Deadline:
‘The Horizons sidebar, a competitive section that runs parallel, features buzzed aboutÂ
The Childhood Of A Leader from Deadline 2014 actor/director
to watch Brady Corbet and starring Robert Pattinson and Bérénice Bejo.”
I’m giddy with excitement.
