I was just reading an article on eiga.com about Rob and The Rover (it’s Rob’s interview with Japanese subtitles where he talks about “if you just work with auteurs you will never be disappointed”) and thought I would check to see if they had any news on Life or Queen of the Desert. To my surprise they have Queen of the Desert listed as being released in 2016 and Life as 2015. It’s surprising because GAGA’s website has QotD listed under “coming soon” and “2015 roadshow”, but doesn’t have Life included under “coming soon”.  As I searched further there was an article back on 17 February 2015 that sets out GAGA’s releases for 2015-2016.  Check out screencaps below.  *Shrugs* I’ll keep an eye out for the release of both films in Japan and keep you posted.  Given that The Rover isn’t being screened until next week it would not surprise me to see Queen of the Desert released next year.
