I thought starting the week off with that new Jerome still of Rob was pretty damn good and I was “inspired” to hunt for some more and ended up finding those great Tyler “Remember Me” pics. The showreel was beautiful too wasn’t it. Yeah I need to search for some more like that. I’ve come across snippets of Little Ashes in one, but not enough to consider it worth posting. And I think Trish said it perfectly that we had a bit of a nostalgic week with those HQ/UHQ stills that we found from Twilight. Let’s just say we have a few more up our sleeves so stay tuned. Meanwhile on the movie news front, things seemed pretty quite. It’s anticipated that Brimstone will start filming this month *tapsfoot*. It’s possible that Rob is off somewhere preparing for it as I type. The Childhood of A Leader teased with another cast member added to IMDbPro. As I mentioned in that update, I do like the secrecy around this film. It very much reminds me of the cloak and dagger that surrounded The Rover and wasn’t it worth it at the end. I’m hoping that they are on track to have it included at the Venice Film Festival as they’ve hinted at. I wouldn’t mind it appearing at TIFF – just saying! The Rover was included in FilmInk’s list of Australian sci-fi films. I wonder if they were trying for some form of redemption because if my memory serves me right it was a huge exclusion from their film awards earlier this year. Yeah I haven’t forgotten. LIFE has picked up a few more worldwide distributors – I’m sifting through trying to find more. And don’t worry Aussies, I had some information this week and let me confirm that both LIFE and Queen of the Desert are still included in Transmission’s “coming soon” for this year.  Remember the full program for the Sydney Film Festival is released midweek and not that I know anything, I’m just hoping that at least one of Rob’s films makes the cut. Both have Australian links which should help at least one of them over the line. I’m leaning towards possibly LIFE, but we shall definitely know this week (and I won’t complain if it’s QoTD – okay maybe just a little).  Again, let me stress that I’m just speculating it could be that none of them are included. Vertigo gave us that lovely collage of Rob at the Inglorious Basterd premiere at Cannes. LOL it must have been subliminal brainwashing because I had a cocktail last night called that. Wonder why I chose it ha! Sad we’re going to miss Rob at Cannes this year, but to be fair you have to give some other actors a go at having their 15 mins at the Festival because Rob does pretty much take all the limelight when he’s there. Surprisingly I don’t have much to say this week (shock horror), so I’ll end off with thanking Jules once again for her experimental Friday edits – Carmel said it best “Not many could work with material that is already so emotional and respect it like you obviously do. A heart felt Thank You.” from all of us. Until next week ….

@Maria – Your wrap ups are such wonderful yardsticks for the week. Thank you 🙂
Thank you, it’s been great looking back at some great pictures and we have so much more to look forward too :-))
I think Carmel has hit the proverbial nail on the head yet again – your weekly wrap-ups really are ‘wonderful yardsticks’, Maria. Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy week, not only to post during the week, but for sitting down and writing it up in such neat little bundles for us to read and relive the week just past. I really look forward to Sunday evenings when I can shrug off the cares of the week and read Maria’s wrap-ups about our favourite man. So, thanks again Maria!
