Roderick Hill has been added to the cast list on IMDbPro as “Older American Gentleman”, so slowly but surely we are getting glimpses of other characters in The Childhood of a Leader.  Anyone following Mona Fastvold’s instagram will glean that they are no doubt in post production in Paris.  And in an article from October 2014, Helen Danielsson (producer) did say:
“Her new assignment Childhood of a leader is more like a European independent film – a psychological thriller and a depiction of how fascism grew strong after the Versailles Treaty at the end of the 1st World War II, according to Helena Danielsson.
We expect the first launch it during the festival in Venice and then in Toronto, she says.” [My emphasis]
Venice and Toronto you say Helen?  Well that’s interesting because both film festivals are in September this year.  Venice is 2-12 September 2015 and TIFF is 10-20 September 2015. Fingers crossed!

UPDATE: 28 March 2015
And now Jeremy Wheeler has been added – although no character name …. Jeremy is a British character actor who now lives in Hungary.
Update: 21 April 2015
Well hello @carolineboulton as Mr Advisors Secretary. This film just keeps on intriguing with each additional cast member.
Updated: 2 May 2015
Another cast member added to IMDbPro – Luca Bercovici. I love the cloak and dagger of this film – the little teaser character names – “Older Foreign Gentleman”, “Mr Advisor’s Secretary”. I think from memory Mr Advisor is Michael Epp. We know Rob’s character is Charles … anyway I know again I’m in the minority of wanting to be surprised when I walk into the cinema. I still remember Vertigo and my reaction after the media screening of The Rover – and I want that again with all of Rob’s films.
I noticed under the projects tab on Media House Capital’s website (one of the production co’s associated with the film) they have uploaded this mock up poster. I don’t believe it’s the real deal, but perhaps it’s in preparation for Cannes – they should have got Jules on board j/s. Hopefully we shall get more information post the festival – at least with regard to distributors – *fingerscrossed*.
September!? Oh God, how good would THAT be?!!!!!
I’m pleased this has that European flavor. As a generalisation; I would expect their take on the aftermath of Versailles would be more nuanced
@Carmel. Your comment puts mine to shame ….. LOL
I am looking forward to this film as it seems to be set in Europe, post WW1 and I am hoping for a strong European flavour. The mock up poster looks American, i.e. the house. I am hoping for a poster with strong European influence. Thanks Maria and cant wait for Rob and Red Carpet September.
I agree @Bee Kaye about the mock up not having a strong European feel and it’s exciting isn’t it to think of what Rob has in store for us.
